Please make a kill count if you had the most damage on the enemy, like in Age of Conan that has the best K/D counting system in MMOs.

For example:
  • you damage an enemy Atlas by 30%;
  • your teammate #1 damages the Atlas by 40%;
  • your teammate #2 kills the Atlas by taking out the last 30%.
Result: teammate #1 scores the kill.

Also, make all profile statistics (matches played, kills, deaths, losses, victories) visible to everyone.

So if you blow away both arms of an Atlas and I destroy his cockpit, you get the kill? Nope. This is not a good idea. Leave it as it is now. If you want a high K/D ratio, buy a Stalker with 4xLRM20, stay behind your team and run away if someone attacks you.

There are situations when a light mech peels off both side torsi, damages the enemy mech completely, and someone with LRM just gets the final hit.

kill is a kill -> whoever dishes out the damage that brings mech to 0 is killer regardless someone else did 99% by himself

besides K/D ratio still means nothing
what really matters that enemy is down or cant fight anymore... so yea if you 99% damage and DIDNT (unlikely but w/e) destroy single weapon while at it the enemy is still just as dangerous as he was at 100%

Realize this: After the c-bill nerf, destroying components will yield more revenue than simply coring a 'Mech, so if you blow up several parts and someone else gets the kill, you still get more c-bills and xp than the one who made the final shot.

I would actually love to have a meaningful K/D ratio that can be seen by others: the C-Bill rate is fine at the moment, and no tricks are required to gain more money.
