In the many games I have played, I have noticed that UAVs have been rarely employed. Some maps in Assault mode such as Frozen City, Canyon Network, and sometimes Forest Colony would benefit from additional UAV use. More UAV usage would help the game in its goal of "information warfare" to boot.
My suggestion to encourage their use - reduce their cost to 10,000 C-Bills from its current 40,000.

I want to use the UAV more often, but the high cost and limited range makes it not that great. Especially in pugs, and premades probably can relay enough info via teamspeak or similar already to make UAV kinda useless.
If anything it only scares away your teammates cause it suddenly shows a bunch of red targets on the map where normally there are only few targets available at a time.

I have seen a grand total of 1 UAV in pug's since it's release. It was carefully placed in the midst of an enemy sniper pack. It had no effect on the game, since noone in our PUG was using LRM boats.
So there's two problems. 1, a UAV is almost 50% of my per-match C-Bill pay (I avg about 100k). That's WAY too much to even consider using, unless it was a tournament game. Especially considering the low value of spotting bonus. 2, PUGs are usually not coordinated enough to benefit from it. Although you could just not use it when on teams that won't get an advantage, it takes up a module slot that would be better used with something else.
10,000 C-bills would be low enough that I might, occassionally, consider using one. The current price is a no-brainer, and a non purchase. I would never in my right mind consider using MC on one.

Just not worth it in a PUG...which is pretty much all I play.
So, yes..make it cheaper.

Why buy UAVs when you get 3PV for free?

UAV's provide LRM lock on targets.
Still not worth it.

Agreed, the UAV is too expensive. That' the reason nobody uses it.

No. The cost is not the issue, the clunky UI is.

What C-Bill price would you suggest?

UAV does what NARC is supposed to do but better... lol.
Yeah, they should reduce the cost to 20k, especially with the new C-Bill earnings.

I want to see FAR more UAV's, Artillery, and Air Strikes.
Drop their price by 25%, and increase functionality by 25%
UAV: 30Kcbills, lasts 1min
...same for Artillery and Airstrikes, drop the price by 25% and increase damage/shots by 25%
I have seen maybe 2 uav's in the last 100 matches, and only 1 Artillery that the new guy fired off at the start point on top of us.
Dear PGI, please continue to do small adjustments each patch. ...if weapons/modules are under-used, don't let them fall away, but give small incentives to use them until we see good battlefield diversity again.
Thanks,

If consumable modules ever get to be worth their price tag, you'll see many more of them.

I really wish a UAV didn't cost 80% of my earnings on a loss... And 30-40% on a win... I just started using them before the CB nerf, and then after the nerf it's not worth it. Before I could use things like that and still come out with money... But with the CB nerf, they made Cbills value worth more than the actual benefit of consumables. They increassed cbill value, thus increasing the value of consumables, but kept their benefit the same. If people didn't use consumables before, they sure the hell aren't now. They'd be stupid to unless they have tens of millions of cbills to throw away.

UAVs are great and worth every penny. The problem comes with them not being auto-reloaded.
In 12 mans, it's not unusual to pop 2 a match.
