But current mechanics of jumpjets in this game would make evasion with that thing a pitiful experience. That and we need a sprawling city map with hidden, dark alleyways, mech hangers, and other ambush spots for the UrbanMech (and King Crab) to reign terror with Guerilla Mech Warfare.

My excel mechlab has the urban R60 and R60L if you want to play around with the urbie using MWO construction rules.

Just because. Just give it a higher rating cap, larger torso twist, maybe like a Hunchback where it can literally fire 360 (albeit HBK arms do it) and R2D2 gadgets

Edit 2: I just remembered I already have one. In a top hat with a cigar, no less:
Pride of my Centurion cockpit, that one
I was just going to say. I have an Urbie and I bought it with MCs...It is sitting on my Ilya's dashboard LOL.
The bobble head is good enough. I can't see how this mech fits into this game. Sorry fans

It depends on a few factors - If PGI further enhances jumpjet functionality and gives the Urban Mech a useful map to play on. But picking maps apparently won't happen until lobbies.
I don't know if you played MW4, but the UrbanMech in that game is actually balanced to use even though it is super slow. People used it in Solaris matches and actually won with it. JJ's are also better at evasion in that game compared to MWO, which helps, and streaks/missiles aren't auto-bots.

Ah, my son! Thou art mistaken! The almight Urbanmech might seem to show no mercy upon mechwarriors and battlemechs, but it mercifully delivers their souls to heaven, where they may gaze upon the perfection of an endless array of Urbanmechs and work their way to be reborn in the grace of Urbie!

VTR-9K mounts up to 6, when it should only be able to mount 4.
The GRF-1N(P) is listed with 7 JJ when cannon it should not be able to exceed 5
and the Spider has a variant with 12 JJ, when it should not be able to exceed 8.
What am I getting at? (Aside from a need to make the JJs more useful and at least have directional thrust) is that while it's top speed on the ground will be slow, in, crowded environs, there is no reason it should not be able to leap similar to a Jenner. EXCEPT that much of the horizontal range seems predicated on speed, currently.
Give it the ability to go hogwild on JJs, and a nice 180 torso direction both ways (different from 360, which is what the MW4 Raven had..... if people have trouble centering legs already.... yeah, 360 would melt their little brains), but would allow it to face directly behind itself.
wHILE that range of torso swivel may seem a tad unprecented, it woudl hardly be game breaking, and the JJs, as noted are already WITH precedent.
Just those 2 features would help immensely. And giving the AC10 versions lateral arm reflex on top? (After all, they will almost certainly include the lower arm actuator, even if it's silly too, like they did the non AC20 Victors)

Oh man, I just hope they implement the Urbie so I can rack up tons of kills. Do it, PGI! I need to bump up my KDR!
And I hope they do it, so I can revel in the tears of those who think my Urbie will be easy prey. I will so leg hump you to death! (At least until your 48 kph stalker or Atlas outruns me! Or simply steps on me)

I have seen this probably more times than there are seconds since the beginning of time itself, and it never gets old.
Also, this is the most important topic on the forums right now. Screw the gauss changes and cries for UAC5 balance; the lack of Urbanmech needs fixing! PGI FIX NAO!!!!!

It's iconic, but in fact it's slow, fugly and useless!
