Why wont the game just close when I exit, seems like a pretty basic function. I mean I expect the crashes and all, but to not close when I shut it down is just lazy.

Have you tried running the repair tool to see if something got corrupted?

If that doesn't work, have you tried submitting a support ticket with as many details as you can, including a DXDiag and an Omicron log?
