My clan turned down this rather quirky build, so I release it to the public domain, in the name of chaos and good sportsmanship!

The LRMturion (which can be cobbled together on most of the CN9's) is a semi-fast medium (around 95 kph with speed tweek) with one goal: To chuck as many LRMs at the enemy as possible while sprinting around the battlefield like a chicken on Phencyclidine.

Why the CN9? Immortality. The same reasons that an SMR Zombie is a good thing apply to an LRM Zombie. You're going o be plinked and harassed by the UAC gangs. You're going to be shot at with PPC's. But the arm shields help, and running around at a 700+ meter range with proper torso twisting should allow you to soak better than most other heavy or medium LRM builds. Mind you, you're running XL, so don't get too cocky.

Remember your LRM basics. No damage inside 180m. No damage outside of 1000m. Targets you site yourself get a low flight missile arc, targets sited by your team get a high arc of flight. There's no friendly fire issues, but missiles hitting friendlies or terrain are wasted.

Back up weapons? What are you, a girl scout? If something gets within 180m, get help from your team. If your team can't help you, do the sane thing. Target something in the distance and keep firing as you run, screaming a death curse at your enemies!

Tag is good. Tag is SO good. Remember that a Tag'ed opponent can be locked, even under an ECM bubble (assuming you yourself aren't being ECM'ed, etc etc.). Also remember that if you briefly lose lock, relocking and Tag'ing the target will make the missiles sharply swerve back towards them. 750 meter range though, so if it's a gauss and ERPPC battle, you may have to suck it up and see if you can nail people in the open at 900m.

Suggested mods: Sensor Range and Target Decay. These help you get locks, and keep them longer.

Try it out. I find it to be a blast in the current meta.

I like it a bit slower but with BAP and AMS.

I've seen some LRM Cent's on the field... and there is nothing a good Treb or Kintaro can't do better but zombie...

I'm more afraid you'll never use more then 3 ton of that ammo because of either ecm (remember tag requires LoS... so 2 big hulky things with ECM, imagine... ) or the new meta of roaming light packs will find and gut you...

I'm regularly doing over 450 a match in pugs, with an average of around 325. KDR and W/L with this build over 1.25. I was actually pondering if I could get one MORE ton of ammo in there, because at the end of matches I'm usually only good for capping.

But on the CN9-D that can take the bigger engines, I went the other route. Stripped off the arm armor, or most of it, and went XL 295 because the extra speed was even better.

There are three key factors to using this correctly:

1) Never run anywhere that you can't return from. The packs of lights and what have you aren't good against a mass of 8 players. With the Cent and 100+ KPH, you have plenty of time to absorb the small hits and get back to group.

2) Keep moving. Seriously, never stop unless you're in a complete blindspot and you need to line up a well threaded shot through terrain. Otherwise, full speed, all the time.

3) Torso twist. Sponge every ounce that you can. The zombie requires good twisting in order to get max damage from your payload.

The difficulty with this build is that you're wasting two tons on arm armor. That's because you're using an engine under 250, and require external HS's.

Here's your build, transferring everything out of the arms and dropping the arm armor:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...3d83bdd353b0a60

Now you get a 20 kph bump from the engine size boost, heatsinks that you won't lose, TAG that you won't lose. You should like that much better.

Yeah, intresting Option. but i like the Arm-Armor vor deflecting incoming Dmg and protecting the armmounted TAG + the additional ton of LRM Ammo.

But oki, the 20k/mph more are nice too. :)

I can see, that you are doing this because you already have the Centurion. But at the end of the day a Trebuchet can do the job simply better and without bending its design forwards and backwards.

why not drop some leg and arm armour for a ct laser? that way you wouldn't be totally toothless if you lose your launchers and you'd have some small zombie potential.
