I have 2 Cataphract builds and one Catapult. On one of my two Cataphract builds, I have 3 module slots, all of which are occupied. On my other Cataphract build, three available and currently only 2 occupied. On my Catapult, however, only two available (both currently occupied). How do I get a third? How DID I, to be honest, I don't remember.

Is the maximum amount of available module slots different per 'Mech?

As far as each variant's 'Mech Trees is concerned, they are all maxed-out (all basic, all elite, and each master unlocked).

Mastering a variant grants you one extra module slot for that particular variant. The maximum amount of module slots does vary per 'mech, so if your Catapult is mastered then I don't think you can obtain a third module slot for that 'mech.

MS Column is module slots. You obviously have a Catapult K2.

That looks very helpful, thank you; however, my K-2 has TWO module slots, not 1 as listed. or is MS here the default/base number of module slots available?

Smurfy shows the default number of module slots a 'mech has.

Yes the K2 has 1 slot by default. You got the second slot by Mastering the K2. You did mention that it was mastered.

Slots do vary by mech. Back when modules first arrived, the k2 was a powerhouse mech due to its dual ballistic side torsos and it got the short end of the stick for modules.

Direct fire mechs tend to have fewer modules, and support, missile, sensor, or command mechs tend to have more. Smurfy of course gives you the low down on how many module per mech.
