There's an option to increase the lighting in your cockpit, but it only affects you. From the outside, even though 'Mechs have transparent cockpits, the light inside the cockpits are not visible from the outside. Why not?

Even though it would probably be dim due to the reflective filters in the glass, I think we should see some light through the cockpit window. That would also give a true tactical purpose to the cockpit light switch.

The windows are polarized and also coated to reflect lasers. Canon wise it would be impossible to see any light coming from the cockpit.

I don't know enough canon to know if this is true or not, do you have a quote from an official canon book or document that states that or you're just extrapolating? I'm just curious, I'm not arguing that you're wrong by the way...
