Played since closed beta. I do like how the game has come along.
Watched a review of Sidestrafes (youtube, 127,887 followers) and he brought up some very good points which I totally agree with.
Heres the vid for anyone who cares.
Points that he raises which I would like to see in the game:
A sense of scale. I totally agree with his review that you just don't feel 'big' playing mechwarrior online.
Destruction: Links in with scale... Its still 'beta' however it would be nice to see more destructible added into the game. Trees being a very good example. Balancing weapons is all good. But in my opinion a game that is unbalanced but looks amazing will draw more players than a game that is perfectly balanced but falls behind what a traditional 'gamer' expects graphics wise. Why else do we spend thousands of dollars on gaming pcs?
I think alot of what sidestrafe says has hit the spot with Mechwarrior online. Lets hope some of his subs decide to check it out and we see a influx of new players. Rather than them seeing a incomplete game and deciding to wait 6 months for the issues to be fixed before checking it out.

trees that crush, little ppl that scream when you step on them, and cars that blow up would be nice.
Good review though.

SideStrafe nailed it. I like when he asked how is destruction of enviroment NOT priority to them? You just walk around through maps like a ghost, passing through trees, cars, lamps, fences... and how mechs fall down looking like toys... etc. I like that guy. It is a waste of CryEngine really... makes me sad.
