Mechwarrior today has not much todo with mechs it feels like moving tanks, not giant robots.
Forward backward... and turning... like World of Tanks.

Playing wasd is somewhat very casual....
my Mech should have the abilitiy to move sideway (for example (q)w(e)asd)...
lean left and right, like it can lean forward and backward (y and c for example)....
and why can´t my mech melee attack?
I got Arms, I got legs. I can kick and i can punch (again (q) left punch. (e) rightpunch, y left kick c right kick for example).

Sure it is a bit harder to play but many other games are using more than the "wasd"-Keys and 2 basic movements... WASD-Only is so Nintendo 1980s...

But by the examples you can see that there are more than 4 Keys on the keyboard which can be used for a game... old mechgames like MechWarrior 2 and GEARS made use of them... and why the hell should I, piloting and atlas, not stomp on a spider or locust annoying me...

Thanks for reading.

Mech legs are not designed for fast sideways movement. if you could strafe it would be very slow. better to torso twise and move forward... thats the way they are designed. unlike most FPS where you can't do that effectively.
