Just as title says, what if mech speed increased slightly as you expended ammo. So if you run out of ammo at least you've lightened your mech and will go slightly faster. Or say you lose an arm, it musta had weight... go faster? I'm not talking about a double movement speed boost or anything, let's say you're a walking stick and out of ammo, perhaps 10% faster?

A good idea that comes back every now and then. In addition to spent ammo, lost limbs should also improve the mech's speed slightly. The maximum speed can be limited to whatever the chassis allows to prevent exploits (treating the legs+gyro assembly as a limiting factor).

I suspect that the issue will be the amount of calculations that would be needed to run such a system.
