I have read several Battletech novels that speak of damaged joints on mechs being damaged to the point of failure. I would like to see this in practice. a mechs shoulder, hip, waist, knee or ankle joint being fused. Thus reducing the mech's speed, ability to torso twist, move arms etc. It would take more coding for thedifferences in each mechs gait and movements, but would add more depth and tactical use of precision shooting. I can envision a light mech fusing some joints on a heavy or assault that inhibit its ability to torso twist or the assault fusing the lights knees to reduce the lights speed. Of course this would only be practical after light hitboxes are properly implimented. Just an idea.
