It is 3 weeks i come back since 2 years of absence, and i found the game greatly improved in almost every aspect and very much enjoyable!
I also see there are some new map, and in my opinion some are better than other but overall it looks all are worthy to play on.
Still, i expected the number of maps will be higher, expecially now that the game has Faction Warfare.
So i'm asking you guys 2 things:
1) Since devs have legal rights about everything concerning Mechwarrior (Mechs, weapons, names, lore, etc) Can they "copy" some maps from the previous Mechwarrior games? I recall a couple of well designed map in MW4, even MW3. Do they have legal rights on them too?
Asking this because i think hard part of making a map is balance, and by doing so they can just avoid this issue saving time and money.
2) Would it be too crazy to make a "Map crowdfunding"?
If PGI states (for example) that they need (let's say) 10000 dollars to make a map, would be a practical way for the community to chose a map scenario (town, desertic, etc) and kickstart it?
This would have some logic only if money are the wall that blocks PGI from making more maps, but i'm not a game dev expert so i ask you guys first!
That being sad, Good Hunting out there, it's nice to be back!
