I think it would be usefull to be able to configure a camo pattern and colors for a mech and then assign it to a specific map and/or terain type.

That way if you dropped on a snow map you would have your snow camo for example. Then config a brown camo for desert etc.

Greetings all,

This has been brought up before,

- the suggestion was to have a pre set group of possibly 4 Camo's that the player selects as there basic set.
- As the match maker selects the final map it picks the Camo loaded into the terrain type set by the player.
- This Camo can be overridden by the player if there is a selected Unit selection for all that Units Mech's. (a checkbox)
~ otherwise the game picks the one in that selected temperate listing and loads it on the Mech.

This way, for snow maps, you get your white Camo. If that's what is loaded in that temperate zone Camo set.

Now this may only work if the entire Planet is of one type of temperate zone, or the location your going to is known.
- Possibly stated in a contract description or mission data.
- If it's a 'Defend' mission, this may not be a choice. As where the Attackers are located or what there objective is may not be of prior notice. (could be anywhere on the Planet?)

- If the Planet has multiple different temperate zones or the location is on the border of different type zones, say urban into wooded, or coastal into jungle you'll probably never get 'just the right' Camo type. And one of the main reasons for Units to 'adopt' there set Unit Camo and keep it through all locations.
- Environmental Camo is great if the location or area your going to is all one type, say all desert, or woodland.
- But fails terribly when you move to different locations.

Just some ideas,
9erRed
