I swear nobody thinks things through. Spiders are paper and i murder them always. Learn to play mouth breathers of Mechwarrior Online.

It shouldn't be the only way. Streaks have always been a crutch workaround-gimmick, to compensate for PGI's lack of coding ability.

Revolutionary concept Jimmy! Now please do a guide on how to use them and we'll be set.

Don't forget the mandatory beagle active probe, because getting locks on 'Mechs 10 feet in front of you in the open is OP without the 1.5 tax

Except the worst of the Spider plague use ECM and without a counter-ECM mech, you cannot lock on. Try again though. Spiders are broken and there are many, many abusers.

Um... carry BAP. It's countered ECM within 150m for months upon months now.

Unless, of course there's more than one ECM spider harassing you. Then you need to make sure you have friends with ECM to counter or more Beagle. Ah, the intricacies and depth of a binary system. Its very strategic and tactical to just carry more of a certain equipment than the enemy.

Yeah, or the Spider is smart enough to stay out of BAP range. Medium lasers have an optimum range of 270m.

BAP is such a weak counter to ECM that it's absurd.

I love that ECM has good effects, I just don't love how any 'mech that can carry ECM should always carry ECM, because the tonnage and crits requirement are so low.

I still think ECM is absurdly overpowered for 1.5 tons of equipment. Allowing for lockons but preventing or increasing the time for identification of weapons load out and damage readout of an enemy? Sure, that'd be a pretty good denial of information right there. Increasing lock time? Pretty nice effect as well when it does everything else it does for 1.5 tons....

Blocking all locks?
Blocking any guided weapons from firing?

A little bit much for the weight. Should have been toned down from the base line, then upped with modules that only work if you are carrying ECM.

The pairing of such a poorly designed piece of equipment and a terribly scaled and coded 'Mech is just asking for exploitation.

Well sure! PGI's Lead Designer is a master of strategy and tactics, didn't ya know?

Bodes excellently well for what CW will turn out to be.

Dual AC/20s make piles of scrap metal out of lights. Also, yesterday I was playing around with 2xLPL (STK-4N with 2xLPL, 2xLL, 2xML actually) and I was able to leg them pretty fast as well.
