Launching the game in its present state is equivalent to attempting to launch an Atlas ICBM with a size A model rocket engine.

just for comparision... Battlefield 2 at launch had: 8 maps, 1 (one) Gamemode and like 20 weapons or so.
And that gameplay was fun and it was enough to bind all those players to it. and there was no real grind or progress beside a sidegrade weapon per class.
And MWO? Truth is, the actual gameplay which is killing big robots is fun. Yeah, i'm missing a meta game too but some of you are just too harsh with this game.

This game is going to get SHREDDED in the press with it's non existent game play.
I believe it will do quite well in press reviews. High 70s - low 80s.

Kill enemy or stand in enemy glow box are you options.
As opposed to your standard CTF? Step in enemy glow box, walk back to your glow box.

No repair and reload,
R&R sucked. It was abusable as hell and at best it would have made the game pay 2 win. People with premium time could afford assaults/heavies while the rest of us plebes would be stuck with mediums.

no collisions, no clan warfare,
Sucks that it's not here yet, but they are coming.

dicey weapon balancing,
It's really not that bad

hackers, aimbotters,
BS. Just because you google it and find some website that makes you pay for an alleged hack, doesn't make it a problem. I've never seen proof of anyone using one, nor do I believe it would work that well in this game.

macro users for ballistics.
UAC 5 is the only weapon that's really worth macroing and it's getting changed Today!

To be honest Joe I'm not even being sarcastic. Surely we are at the point now where it it pretty clear what is going on. Money goes in, money is used to make things to sell us, 'promises' are made, money goes in, 'promises' don't pan out, money is used to make things to sell us... repeat until people stop buying things. As people are still buying new things it is working as intended ™.
What world does anyone live in where they don’t/should not already know this?
If you can make a better game for free and spend your time building it and not have to worry about feeding your family or the familys of the people helping helping you, have at it. Until then stop playing the enlightened guru knower of all knowledge.

@Funkadelic Mayhem Apologies if I came across as playing the enlightened guru knower of all knowledge (I didn't even know that was a thing, so cheers, will avoiding that in future), my point was that the devs are doing a good job at getting money out of folks, and in a pretty transparent and obvious way, even if they are not doing a good job in terms of meeting most people's expectations of what constitutes 'ready to launch'.
I certainly wasn't questioning the fundamental 'customers spend money, producers get to feed their kids' model of capitalism, or suggesting that it is possible to make a better game for free. Sorry for any confusion!
