Naw, lit a fire in the fireplace (because we were smart enough to HAVE one ) and sat around drinking hot chocolate made over the fire while reading books with the light through the window.

When I was little power outages were not uncommon.
(not common either - but hardly uncommon)

They were fun - kinda like goin on a campout without needing to leave the house.

This one was kinda short though (~2-3 hours)

Apparently someone hit something at the station with a truck or the something like that- so the company was already on top of the problem when it started (literally in this case )
