Yeah, doesn't work anymore. Your aim does get pushed up but the spread is as wide as it is tall.

Sounds like the Devs never fired an AK(the kick is so minimal that the level of control afforded is amazing).

ArmA sounds boring to me. It seems like one of those games where you sit in one spot for hours and die if you stick your head up or move. I really don't think I'd like a sim shooter.

Most FPS games do not appeal to me.

Partially because "way back in the day" (heh) they actually made my physically nauseous (low texture graphics sliding past in first person view being the cause)
A problem that sometimes hits with even newer games.
(Not the Mechwarrior games though, I am told it is because of the cockpit)

Now that I can play them without throwing up - they all look the same - which makes them look very boring.
(A complaint commonly leveled against my preferred genres by the FPS players I know in the real world :P)

Some people do play like that. Mainly large and super serious RP clans. The other 90% of the ArmA community plays a much faster paced game.

Many game modes are built so that it forces players to stay mobile to actually win or do anything. And as far as I'm concerned, if you spend more than a minute in the same spot, you're doing it wrong. Mobility is key.

One of the game types I just ran across is King Of The Hill.

Three teams on a 120 player server, fighting over a town for control. The team with the most people in town hold control of it, and gain a point every 60 seconds they hold the town, first team to earn 100 points wins the round. The game mode makes use of all ArmA weapons and vehicles, with the exception of artillery and UAVs. Its chaotic, its fun, and sitting in place for too long wont help you win, and it will more than likely get you killed.

It looks more like a defective Cicada.

No, it can't be a Cicada. The round thing on the top is too big and round, and it cuts off in a turret shape way too early to be a Cicada torso. Plus it looks like that gun looks like its coming from the center of the turret, and it looks like no AC model I've seen in the game so far.

See?

Defective Cicada.

This one managed to escape quality control at its factory, fought an epic battle on the factory grounds, and then bought a ticket off world before disappearing.

Now it goes around gather other defective 'Mechs, raising an army, to fight the <insert cliche thing here> And set free the rest of his mechanical brethren.
