I have been exploring a bit.

Jumping was fairly easy (and listed in the hotkeys woohoo!)

Learning about Corruption/Crimson and the like (and keeping them/it from eating your other biospheres...)

Not to mention the headache of learning what you can and cannot craft - when and where you can craft it - and the fact that you NEVER want to use the right click to craft equipment?

If MWO does not do well on Steam - it sure will not be due to a lack of tutorials. :o

ahahah Terraria is a great game! And the people that made it have a crazy sense of humor. I have not checked out the alternate dimension (whole different game{they also made starbound [looked quite interesting but from what Ive read it feels forced and lacks the homesteading feel of Terraria]}), Terraria Otherworld. But I can bet it is also quite interesting.

Terraria was fun, -for maybe two weeks- but it was fun. Got stale for me rather quick.

Minecraft however is one bad -or good, depending on how you view it- drug. One could also compare it to the mafia.

You think you got out, but then it just pulls you right back in.

I cannot play Minecraft for the same reason I cannot play most FPS games.

First person perspective + lower resolutions (and some higher resolution) textures makes me motion sick

Well thats a valid reason, most people I've talked to who say they cant play Minecraft is because . . . Apparently graphics make a game, not the gameplay.

You know, "ugly" graphics, and that makes the game impossible to enjoy . . .

Phht.

I'm still playing my old NES, N64, PS1, PS2, Commodore, and the like games.

Some games the story makes up for any other faults.
Some games the gameplay does.

NO game that thrives on the graphics alone lasts long though.

Edit:
Just got Majora's Mask on my Wii (VC - of course)
Kid brother complained the graphics were worse than Ocarina - until I pulled it up as well. :D
(Helps that he had been playing the 3DS remake of Ocarina )

Edited Edit:
Bulk of the reason I love my Wii is it letting me play all those old games.

(Yes, I know I can buy an NES or the like online - have yet to find one that will let me ship it to Alaska though - us bein another country and all <_<)

Have not had the $$ for a Wii U.

Other than Smash Bros (and possibly the upcoming Zelda) I have not seen any games for it that I have wanted.

And since I have yet to pick up Skyward Sword either...

Actually skipped the 'Cube, due to lack of funds, was looking at getting one when the Wii came out
(since last-gen are cheaper)
But since the Wii could play 'Cube games as well, I saved up a bit longer for that.

I miss old school FPS games that had limited health and crosshair aiming.

I know I could just pop in Quake 3 on my PS2 or play an HD remake but they don't make games as good anymore.

And this is coming from a kid who didn't grow up in the 90's when the "old school shooter" was actually prominent.

I still play Tribes 2 whenever somebody hosts a server.

That and Quake Free was fun before they went all ******** and let you pick spawn loadouts.

So, I watched the first episode of Break Blade last night. It was pretty good.

It's supposed to be a 12-episode series based on a manga by Yunosuke Yoshinaga. It's set in a medieval-ish fantasy world where oil doesn't exist, and technology from cars to guns to mecha are powered by Quartz, a kind of crystal or something that humans can manipulate using magic.

It's pretty interesting. It does start out with the overused (or perhaps mandatory?) "main character who's never piloted a mecha stumbles across super powered mecha and kicks ass in it" trope, but it made a pretty good first impression otherwise.

It's on Crunchyroll. I'd recommend it. (But install Adblock first if you don't have it. :P )

Just heard leonard nemoy just died. :(

"Fare Thee Well MechWarrior

MechWarrior, cling thee not to this world,
As it holds for you no more.
But Listen! Listen for the song from afar,
And heed the lilting call of the land that awaits.

Let the final breath slip from your pierced chest,
And your broken hands fall from the stick.
Bend your bloodied brow to this life,
And let tumble the shattered helm that once cradled your head.

Leave behind these acrid smokes of the fields,
These swirling battlegrounds of charred metal, bone and flesh.
Depart from the flashing fires that filled your eyes with destruction,
And abandon the burning hulk of steel and crimson that was your mount.

Hold not to this realm,
But hasten! Hasten down the twisting path to the mountains.
To the dark mountains and beyond,
And across the shimmering sea.

Voyage then. Voyage thee well MechWarrior.
Voyage thee well and long.
Cross the great divide,
And find the land that beckons with its Siren's song.

Where swords and strife cannot follow,
Nor can cruel laser and cold gauss reach.
Where rolling hills of soft sun and velvet grasses embrace,
And quiet waters sooth your beleaguered soul.

Then, lay thee down MechWarrior,
Lay thee down and sleep.
Dream the dreams of victors...
Loose the silver cord...
And find your peace complete.

Fare thee well MechWarrior.
Fare thee well."

Better: A 20 ton Light with AC20 ammo crammed in every location, and no weapons. It runs on an autopilot, you set it to run towards an enemy and when the enemy shoots it it explodes, spraying shrapnel everywhere like a giant bomb, killing the attacker.
