Ping-wise something is broken here. I usually have a Ping of 180-200 (Germany). However, right now its roughly 380-400+, which is unusual and extremely bad.

Afaik this problem startet yesterday, I ran some tests, but there is nothing blocking the line or influencing the ping. I even ran a ping /t for a complete match to a website (460 packets, 0 lost, min 45ms, max 63ms, average 47ms).

So what ever it is, its locked to the game or the routing. Simply put, its not my connection.

This is unplayable.

Edit:

I did a few more matches today, the last few where actually playable. Ping got normal for some matches and on the last, it was getting high again (360) but it was playable - no rubber-banding at all.

Edit2:

And another test, 1 was fine the other one the high ping was back and with it the rubber-banding.

....and it takes ages getting into the the Mechlab/Pilotlab after leaving a match!

My fps drop drastically, from 50 to around 5-10, in certain situations involving smoke effects.

Other mech explosions, firing etc has only a small effect, but when it's smoke/steam from my own weapons (ppcs especially) it has a dramatic effect. I normally move a couple of steps so it's no longer in my field of view, and that solves the issue.

It's difficult to tell whether it happens all the time or not, as it depends on which way the fx drifts.

Possible reason for it only being my own weapons is because this is almost the only time that the smoke effect affects my whole view.

on 327.23 NV driver but has happened on all others

i5 3570k @ 4.2GHz
8GB RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
All settings maxed out at 1080p
happens with/without vsync

Performance
I used to run the game on med specs and a few things like textures high (a few month ago it was mainly high/med). Now everything is low, and only the textures are high, object detail 2nd lowest and particles on 2nd lowest. Because on lowest you have a disadvantage (lasers light up mechs/the enviroment so you can see what you are shooting). The biggest performance loss is when you see smoke (lrm fire and impact from lrm/ballistics and jumpjet smoke). It doesn't matter if you have particles on lowest, the smoke is allways there, only smoke from laser impact and smokey buildings is removed as far as I can tell and that doesn't do much for my framerate. If MWO had the option to remove smoke that would be a big improvement, so please, PLEASE, PLEASE! tell the engineers to remove the smoke. As it is now, whenever I am being shot at with salvo's of lrm or an triple AC2/UAC5 setup I just might as well do an alt+f4 because the fps drop to 4 (four) and the game gets unresponsive.

Also the latest patch makes all mechs have a white overlay over their texture (just like mechs are set to brightness 95% white). This happens when you alt tab into the game when it's loading. When a mech gets hit (and gets a damage texture applied) the mechs loses it's white overlay and returns to normal.

A bit offtopic: Another performance problem is the vidmem needed per map. Some maps don't go over 860mb, other maps like frozen city day wan't to use more than 1gb and glitches to 800/900mb with some building or snow textures missing.

Ping
Mostly I get a ping of ~105 to 120 max (had this mostly since closed beta). Sometimes lately it can shoot up to 500+ and rubberbanding... rubberbanding everywhere, sometimes I'm even flying kilometers above the ground because the game doesn't know where I am supposed to be. I would love to record it, but since the performance of the game lately has gone down a lot it would make it unplayable.

PC + internet Specs
Spoiler

Also I'm running an fps cap in the user.ini @ 50fps. This because the mechlab has the tendancy to overwork my graphics card to as much fps at it can generate. Ingame this cap is unnoticeable because the max fps I get is 45/48 when looking at a mountain wall. on average it's 35.

My ping has become very high and unstable, it was 140-150 before and now at evenings 20-24 GMT it's from 190-350 and jumping constantly, can't hit standing still heavy mechs from 50 meters sometimes.

Cannot really tell performance, after patch (I think), the game launcher minimizes to the taskbar then disappears. No game.

What's with the ping being all over the place? I and my friends get anything between 100 and 500. May even fluctuate within a battle but usually looks like in one battle you get 150 and then in the next 400.

Have a problem where frame rates drop down to 40 when neither my GPU nor any CPU Core are at 100%

I monitor CPU core usage, GPU usage, temps, VRAM etc. in game with EVGA precision and HWinfo.

My GTX770 is only at about 60% and no core is ever over 80% (mostly around 60%) yet I keep getting periodic FPS drops.

It was driving me nuts so I reinstalled the game and all my drivers and it is still happening.

After stress testing the CPU with Prime 95 and the GPU with Heaven and Valley and comparing with official benchmarks I conclude it is the game.

CPU 2500K
GPU GTX 770
Win 7 64

Latest Nvidia WHQL drivers.
Latest everything

Before patch I had consistent ping of 100-110 ms. I've never had many problems w/connectivity. Now I get inconsistent ping times occasionally, jumping 500-600 ms.

The past week I've gotten numerous "session was lost" errors. 5-6 times in a row. It's unplayable for me now.

After doing a lot of troubleshooting, I think it's an MWO issue.

The game when played after I have played earlier and had my computer hyperbate, will sometimes run with a huge FPS hit. The FPS hit is ONLY on MWO, but effects both the front end AND the game. The front end is at 20 FPS solid rather than 60, and the game itself runs at 8-12 FPS. The only solution is to reboot. No other game has this issue or has issues after this, only MWO is effected.

I believe it happened to me once between drops without even restarting the client. Nothing else has changed, and a drive upgrade I did later did not fix the problem.

For anyone that's having a disconnect or ping issue, please try and run a traceroute from you to the server and post it here. It would be helpful in establishing where the issues lies (ie a common border router that everyone goes through).

Just have a pretty important performance problem to let you guys know about. Last patch, when in heat vision mode, my FPS was more or less the same as when not, 20-30 FPS average, with a low of 20 and a high of 40-50 when looking at other mechs or something like that. With the latest patch, my regular FPS is normal, but when in heat vision mode, I get a MAX of about 30 and an average of 12-15. I dont know what you guys changed, but heat vision is now totally useless, as I cant even get above 20FPS in combat, whereas when I switch it off looking at the same things, my FPS goes up at least 20-30 FPS. Hopefully you guys can fix it.

My ping and FPS are fine. However, I've been having numerous session disconnects. Typically, this happens early into the game or before I reach the map loading screen. I had the second one happen to me a bunch of times in the last hour. I'm staring at a blank screen for way longer than it normally takes to get to the map loading screen. If I CRTL+ALT+DEL and open the task manager, I return to desktop and MWO closes immediately on its own (ie, without me ending the process). These drops weren't occurring anywhere near this frequency pre-launch. Average ping is in the 30s, and nothing has changed with my connection at all this month.

I'm in Waterloo ON, so I'm not dropping sessions because I'm on the other side of the planet from the server.

Since the latest patch I have been pretty much unable to use thermal vision. I used to rely heavily on thermals because of the clarity during blizzards. I have found I have to play blind now because my framerate, normally 60-100 FPS drops to 15 and becomes unusable. Leaving thermal then going right back in momentarily brings the FPS back up but then it drops again.

I am running an
i7 at 3.21Ghz
16 GB RAM
2x GTX 660 Ti in SLi
512 GB SSD
50Mb connection

I read in the forums about turning off hardware acceleration in flash but that made no difference.
This needs to be fixed either on your end or mine because on some maps you are nearly blind without thermal and night vision won't work.

About 1 out of 10 matches I got this weird problem where the game loads really slowly into a match. When I get there the clock is already a minute into the match, around low 14:xx to 13:xx. If that happens the ping/pain and framerate would be really bad. Basically I would have to either die quickly or quit match.

Things are back to normal when I restart the game though.

Problem has happened before, but in this patch it happens more frequently.
