With the dawn of release upon us, it is clear that PGI and friends have made the push to 3PV to try and make as many sales as possible, trampling all they once stood for and all that we hoped and prayed for (and were promised *cough*).
Recently, there was a poll asking if 12v12 premades should be restricted to 1PV only. This was nothing more than a clever trick in order to get people to flock to the poll and vote, as they were well aware a high amount of players (read; most) were against 3PV period. No matter what people claim about 3PV, every single time a poll has come up, a staggeringly high amount of people voted AGAINST such an implementation.
First poll was around 90%. its been awhile and I couldn't find the topic again, but it was 9X% against it.
This last poll for the 12v12 was an absurd 91.53%.
As stated earlier, they did NOT give us an option to vote for 1PV only for ALL game modes, as they knew that if they made the poll to ask about 12v12, that we would either have to say yes to it, and allow 3pv to run rampant, or bite the bullet and vote no and have 12v12 restricted only, making it seem like PGI was giving us what we wanted.
With no other option, we were forced to vote for the 1pv 12v12, leaving us with a sour after taste because we KNEW that they were just using that as a scapegoat to get around the massive community uproar. I mean hey, whats the easiest way to get out of it? Make it seem like they are compromising. But that is the thing. We have made it ABUNDANTLY clear that we DO NOT WANT 3PV AT ALL, and we know PGI that you purposefully "lied" to us about 3pv and added it in, because you knew that once the game released with features already in game, that you couldn't remove content from customers who just picked up the product. Well played, I will give you that. But it was nothing more than a shifty move on your part.
So despite the atrocity that took place, please let this poll show the true feelings of the community. With absolutely no biased choices compared to recent polls (looking at you PGI/Co). You have made it pretty clear you have your fingers in your ears on this topic, but let us be heard.
