FASA Studios, the holders of Shadowrun, Crimson Skies, and Mechwarrior turned into a parked website called "Smith & Tinker" and went under for a couple years.

a little while ago a game called SHADOWRUN RETURNS popped up on KICKSTARTER by "HareBrained Schemes", playing the game the day after it came out I saw many mechanics that reminded me of the older pen and paper RPGs only to find out...

"HareBrained Schemes" is the defunct "FASA Studios"

yes, the original holder of the Shadowrun license came out with a Shadowrun game that not only feel modern as well as wholesome...

... but it came with developer tools...

so that means the community can make their own campaigns...

what does this mean exactly?

FASA er SMITH&TINKER er HAREBRAINED SCHEMES not only was able to create a game that is great... but they did not underestimate the community.

I wonder what would happen if these guys got a rehold of the MW license
