This was a public service broadcast brought to you by the Newbie preservation society;

a non profit subsidiary of frustrated players anonymous.

The force will not save you here! Use cover and let the Atlas lead into the main fight!

Exception: If you are trying to be a light pilot. Follow another light; preferably one with a Founders tag if possible. DO NOT SHOOT until they do, do not get in their way, learn first, rack up damage will come after.

Funkadelic Mayhem

GREAT topic. Let me contribute

3)

- Just like he said... Try to follow most experienced light players. Most can be identified with founder tags (however that is not always the case).

- Focus your fire on the same target they are atacking. Even if you don't have ,ventrilo, ts or mumble to communicate with your team mates, nor the time to be using the in-game chat, you can simply identify which enemy your team mates are attacking and focus your fire in that mech as well. That way you will be of a huge help to bring the enemy down 1 by 1.

Spreading your damage in all mech components or Not focusing in only 1 target at a time, will of course help you to obtain higher amounts of damage but not necessarily helps your team to win the match.

Wouldn't this topic do better in the training grounds than the barracks?

Dont be silly, only honest new players go there.

But god I hope that new people read this and follow it. I just helped two friends join the game and it took at least a week of my rage to break them of this bad habit for the most part!

Not just the new players: there are still times I forget to swap the ammo types when I swap weapons :D
