After seeing a good amount of new players last night, and seeing an influx of new player questions the past couple of days, I am considering starting a blog to offer a little guidance. I know I pretty much a middle of the road player, and there is already a good bit of info available, but I would like to help out the new people by offering some decent info in a concise, but lighthearted many, and in one, simple location. Do you all think that's a good idea?

If you feel it is worth your time then I would say yes
If you feel it could/would help then I would say yes
If not then no
Best of luck to you
As a notation - I do not usually read blogs or the like, but I am told many do.

Worst case no one reads it
Seriously though, can't hurt and who knows, you might become famous!!
Not all blogs are created equal. Not really any different from reading a column or some such in the newspaper. Or a guide here etc. I don't really follow any per se, but I have a lot that I keep an eye on and read when they have something I am interested in. Usually it's a tech blog etc since I work in IT and often run across free or discounted books/training etc.

There are a dozen pinned links above this one in this forum, and you can't make people RTFM.
I fully support your intention, and wish you the best of luck.

I have found that if you can disguise the manual well enough... they will sometimes
"It's not a manual it's a blog!"
sometimes counters
"Why should I go to the forums, everything I need to know is in the game"
Of course there are exceptions to every rule...

You should do it if it makes "you" happy.. It doesn't matter if people will read it or not.
Also you should consider time and commitment requirements..
I like writing guides, but I can't commit so a short post in the new player area scratches my makes "me" happy itch enough

Ok, I think I will give it a try. I will start a "beginner's sereies" this weekend, and try updating at regular intervals thereafter.
