just started recently and this is my first mech! im liking it, has firepower to take on heavy/assaults, throw out lrm15's for light scout/spotters from behind cover, center torso usually is the first to go like it was made for xl engines, doing fine with my current build splurged on a xl-360 engine and my win ratio has skyrocketed, i guess people arent prepared for the fast orion :3

ON1-K (smurfy build)

ditched the srm i never use them, swapped it out with an ams figure the laz0rs+ac/10 are fine enough for short range letting me pack more lrm's and my spotters havent complained yet :(
went poor splurging on the engine but omg worth the mobility(77.7kph) and weight and im hoping it will fit the pheonix saber mechs like im told

worse case you can atleast put a hurting on them before you go down

i really want to get some large lasers sooner or later to fill out the 4x hardpoints being wasted with 2xmed's but i'd probably have to downgrade my balistic/missle for it ;)

ps i was getting my butt handed to me on the default loadout partly cause of my noobness and not knowing its strong points which i believe is fire support, its pretty slow(64kph) so if you try to snipe with it you'll get hammered by snipers/rockets with that huge torso since your ballistic/energy weapons are waist high you need to expose a lot to get a shot off unlike others better suited for that task

The "Oink" is fast becoming the most popular variant among the Orions.

You can squeeze a pair of large lasers on if you drop the AMS, drop the leg armor down to 49 (the legs are not commonly hit), and add endo steel (which you should do anyway). It'd look something like this:

You *WILL* need to upgrade to double heat sinks, however. They are essentially a mandatory upgrade on almost any conceivable mech you will ever buy, and you certainly won't be able to run large lasers without them. More or less you can mentally add a couple million or so to the cost of any mech for endo and DHS.
