FYI, it's not a review - it's an in-depth report about the launch of the game and reactions to it. It states a review will be coming though.

It's mildly amusing that everything giving an opinion on the game is apparently a "review" even when the article author states it isn't.

Eh mistakes happen, and the guy was happy to edit his topic title to reflect the article accurately. Still Failcube did mention some very good points.

Just an observation. It was done to SideStrafe's impressions video as well. And SideStrafe as far as I know has NEVER done a review video. I already gave my kudos for the article.

It IS a review though. What you don't seem to understand is that gamers reading this will use it a basis to help make a decision about the game. It may not be a review of the gameplay but it is a review of the company, community, and launch. It will help sway decisions made by customers.

Oh I understand. I generally find opinion pieces more helpful than an actual review. I just don't call them reviews.

It's a good review, obviously written by a fan willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the devs and do a lot of research about what the game might maybe be supposed to be eventually. The problem is that w/out a lot of research like that, JUST reviewing the game would never reveal this stuff.
