Poor, poor Inner Sphere Dragon. Oh, wait, I do not like like the Dragon, I find it a poor freebirth `Mech. I much more fancy a Timberwolf MKII...

Well, looking at the picture, the Hunchback isn't that bad on it. He still has a chance. :(

You are aware that what you call the "Timberwolf MK II" is actually named the MadCat II and made and sold by the Diamond Sharks to all buyers, including inner sphere buyers?

ie, There is no Timberwolf MK II, the official CLAN name is MadCat Mk II.

I wish I didn't know this stuff, battletech takes up too much space in my admittedly small brain.

Hunchie is hosed. At that range, escape isn't going to happen and even though the Atlas is waiting on its large lasers to cycle, that still leaves an AC/10 and the SRM-4. This is going to be messy.

Well, it's all pretty cool, but.. Guys, I mean, GUYS, when will we see another landscape or something? Do you REALLY plan to have just 1 planet in the Inner Sphere???

We'll pray for your soul, dear hunchback.
At that range against an Atlas, he doesn't really have a chance, plus he'lll soon loose both ACs so this is not going to play in his favor for sure :(

Armor on the right torso is gone, so if the srm and ac10 hit at least one of the AC 2 is gone I'm assuming.

Either way with the srm and ac10 hit the hunch's torso armor is gone and the LL are cycled and that's just gonna rip up anything left...

Looking at the Hunchback torso almost completely glowing, I'm thinking that the glow from damage needs to be toned down a lot. Glow in small areas, or maybe mroe in completely destroyed parts/mechs is ok, but that kind of brings down the appeal for me.

this x1000
I hate to say this but that actually looks ridiculous. That needs to be reworked if ONLY for engagements in anything less than blazing sunlight. A mech with seemingly little damage glowing like the sun on a night map = fail.
the glow should fade within 1-2 seconds and IF there is serious damage the glow should be replaced with either damage decals or blackened areas or a light smoke effect.
That mech could be seen 2km away.

My money's on the other two lance mates of the Hunchback, the Stalker and the Catapult that then launch LRMs into the Atlas at range.

A pair of AC/2s against an Atlas? That Hunchie is about to become glitter.

It depends on who's in the atlas. And who sits on the other ....

The hunchback is hosed. Theoretically it could survive if it can out run the atlas and get some distance/cover.

I can see the hunchback outrunning the Atlas. I can't see the hunchback outrunning that pair of large lasers the Atlas has.

On top of that there should be just enough time for that AC10 and SRM's to have one shot at it while it runs away.

My Verdict: the Hunchback over extended itself and now finds itself in range of an Atlas's impressive custom loadout. Atlas Wins.

If he just killed the Dragon, why is the score still 0:0?

Regardless, I think the Hunchy's in trouble - about to lose those ballistics, and the Atlas has minimal damage.

I do rather like that Atlas config, too - nice mix of weapons at mid-range, and the heat efficiency isn't actually too bad...

There seems to be a teal color arrow V above the dragon, i get the feeling that it is still in the "KABOOM" phase and the actual kill has not yet calculated.

i'm guessing of course.

Me thinks that Hunchie doesn't stand a chance.

Question: It appears the Atlas has a missile lock indicator on the Hunchback. Is that for the LRMs or the SRMs? I had assumed that LRMs wouldn't be able to lock under their minimum range, was I incorrect?

I would have to say the hunchback has a chance, but the pilot must be quick. if I am reading the display properly then the ac2 is about to be out of the question. aproach fast and close running by the Atlas's left side making a couple good shots off at his hip then turning to bare the protected ac2 and firing at his backside. the hunchback pilot must be ready for a quick direction change if the atlas pilot turns right to meet him mid loop...but yes the hunchback has a chance if the proper actions are taken. if he chooses to run for it the chances are good that he will lose his AC2 before he can outdistance the lrm's and then he is in real trouble.

*beggs for his beta key...or a cookie* :(
