So I've been running MWO for months now with no problems. Yesterday, when I tried to open the game, I started getting this message saying "Unable to connect to remote server." I've retried several times with no results. Anyone else having this problem?

You can't open the game client itself, or will it just wont connect to the game server itself from the login screen?

If you can't open the client at all, you'll need to reinstall.

I'd suggest reinstalling regardless, if you haven't played for months you'll have to download a lot of patches, and the client-side patcher for MWO is really bad, it's actually faster if you just reinstall than if you had just updated it patch by patch.

Unfortunately this may not have anything to do with MWO itself, but could be attributed to your ISP or even national/international routing. One time, I couldn't play because my packets destined for Mechwarrior Online were being sent on a one-way trip to Guam due to faulty routing from AT&T.

Try calling your ISP. I wish I knew a good server to ping or tracert to to look for where the connection is halting but MWO hasn't published an IP you can use.
