Not now, and not likely i the fairly long term. There will be some sort of lobby system for pre-arranged matches, but it will most likely be only for 12v12

Technically this isn't about single player combat, it's more about actual warfare and thus right now it's all company level. I would like to see lance combat, and wouldn't complain if they decided to do a Solaris style arena setup.

You can play WITH your friends though, either in a group of 2/3/4 players or a full group of 12.

My house unit actually ran some of our own internal 12vs12 skirmishes last weekend, a bit difficult to get 24 players on at the same time but not impossible.

PGI is not particularly interested in private matches because a small instance would still require a spot on the server; thus you would be using resources that would otherwise be better spent on a full 24 player match and instead spending it on 2-4 players.

One way you could do this would be have 24 guys into a match and have 10-11 each side dc and then do it a few times but that's very difficult to accomplish. But for now, sadly no actual gamemode.

I'm sorry. The core features you speak of are not available. Please try again never.

Ok. So it probably wont be added.
I was just asking bacause it might be fun to play with and against frends. 5v5 at max. Hard to get more people at once.

Well for anyone wondering, you can now do this by creating a Lobby. For 1 vs 1 through 4 vs 4, you'll need 2 players with premium time as the leader of each group. I don't like that but I don't make the rules.

For 5 versus 5 through 8 versus 8, you need 4 people with premium time.

For 12 versus 12, no one needs premium time unless you want to change advanced options, in which case only the person starting the match needs it.

Friendly reminder, that replying to a rised dead thread wouldn't kill it either.

You need every lance leader to have premium time for 5v5 - 8v8?

I'm not sure about that. I did several drops with DHB, and we were doing 7v7s, 6v6s, and even 7v6, 6v5, and I'm pretty sure only the two team leaders had premium time active. May be mistaken, but that's what it sounded like.

The Foxes hold frequent internal PM's and only the leader of each team needs PT, not each lance leader. You can even host uneven teams, etc.

That'd be cool, but so far that's how it was explained to me.

Yeah, from testing, it's only the two team leaders that need premium time, and that's only when doing non 12v12s.

One of the options is "Full Teams" when both leaders have premium time, they can turn it "off" which means it's not 12v12. Basically the module looks at matches as either 12v12 or not 12v12 (1v1-up to 11v11)

No you don't - you still only need 2, one on each team. Trust me, my team's been running 6v6 et. al. a lot in practices.
