Here is an updated Transmission of our latest requirements, FAQ, and information.

Hello, fellow Mechwarrior. I have come from the Mercenary Unit that serves the Marian Hegemony to extend you an invitation to our temporary small group of Mechwarriors who enjoy piloting light 'Mechs or anything to tickle our fancy.
WE do have team colors as well as a preferred camo pattern, but if you can not afford the camo or colors, or need time to afford them, that is 100% okay. For now, we do not have scheduled practices due to low member count, but eventually we will and they will NOT be mandatory. We understand that many people have a life outside MWO. IF you can show up, great. If not, no harm done.
We don't care about skill, race, gender, how long you have played, etc. As long as you meet a few simple requirements you are golden. These requirements are:
1: You work well with others
2: Enjoy playing the game
3: Don’t mind having someone in our group give directions as to where to move out to, focus fire “X” target, etc
We enjoy team communication and use NGNG's Teamspeak server for communication. We currently have about 4-6 members. Four of which are active. We are looking to expand our Mechwarrior count to better prepare ourselves for the upcoming Community Warfare.
If you would like to sign up on our website to apply,. feel free to apply over at: http://1alphard.guil...0&TabID=4201636

To join our teamspeak we use, join over at:
address: voip01.n1585.hypernia.net:9992
password: mechwarrior

You can find our "1st Alphard Legionnaires" channel amongst the rest by scrolling past the dropships, past the "No Guts No Galaxy" section and into the "Sponsored Units". We are currently the 7th one down. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Stay Frosty, Dangerzone

Gentlemen, I've encountered some issues out in the Deep Periphery while travelling back from a visit to the Kell Hounds to inquire about tactics, unit coordination, and purchase of some new mech designs. Coming back to our glorious Hegemony, I encountered some possibly insane mechwarriors and spacers calling themselves "Clan Jade Falcon"; they wouldn't stop screaming about Batchalls, Zellbrigen, and shouting various overly thought out insults. I had a squadron of AS Fighters strafe their position, and then we hot-dropped on top of them; apparently their commander's mech was caught up under my Atlas and he was killed. We won the (short) battle after realizing their were just ten of them(because leaving two of your lances short is a greeeeat idea) and that dropping a full battalion of tanks supported by mechs can, in fact, be too much firepower. We salvaged some of their mechs, stole their dropships, and somehow survived the malignant screams of "Surat scum!", "Inner Sphere barbarian!", and "We will crush you between our talons!" Best wishes,

-Your Legatus, Davoke

***Opening Transmission***

We have an updated FAQ for becoming one of the fabled 1st Alphard Legionnaires.

The information for requirements and info that is needed to be known for our unit is as follows:

Quote

Visit our website to apply: http://1alphard.guil...0&TabID=4201636

Some things to know about us before considering joining:
1. We have team colors, but are not mandatory
---If you need time to afford them, that is okay.
------Primary: Quarantine (It's under the yellows)
------Secondary: Camo Grey, Gunmetal Grey, etc
------Tertiary: Cadmium, Phoenix Red, Phraken Red, etc (Cadmium is under the reds)
2. These colors look best with Sherman Pattern
---Buy each 'Mech's camo with "one shot" (It's cheaper)
---Not mandatory, but instead just a recommendation to flaunt those sexy colors on your 'Mech
3. We hold practices throughout the week at convenient times weekly (Not mandatory, but highly recommended)
---Check "ALPHARD NEWS CHANNEL" for practice times on our Teamspeak server channel
4. Skill does not matter. If you are new, we have vet players who can show you the ropes
5. You enjoy playing MWO and work well with others
6. Can understand orders such as "move to D6", "Focus fire on Echo(E)", "RTB to defend" (Return to Base), etc
7. Are willing to play alongside other Alphards when possible once Community Warfare hits.
8. If you are not going to be able to get on for two weeks in a row or more, please let someone know before hand
9. Have fun!

~Dangerzone

If you wish to find us on the Teamspeak server we use to talk to us directly instead of private messaging on the mwomercs forums, feel free to reach us at:
address: voip01.n1585.hypernia.net:9992
password: mechwarrior

You can find us under the "Sponsored Units" section in the "1st Alphard Legionnaires"

We are currently about 20 members strong with 15 active members coming on regularly throughout the day and night.

We are looking for people both new and experienced so that we can teach new players the ropes and allow everyone to have a good time.

We consider ourselves to be a semi-casual group until CW hits since as of right now, without CW we have some show up for practices if they can make it, while others come on throughout the week to blow up some stompy robots together.

We enjoy a good amount of teamwork, coordination, focusing fire, and organizing strategies. At times we will hold 2v2's, 3v3's and even 4v4's in private matches just for fun to learn the maps, have a fun time, and blowing the crap out of each other.

If you feel this is the right group to join, feel free to find us on the aforementioned Teamspeak server or PM "dangerzone" on the forums here.

This is Praefectus Dangerzone logging off.

Greetings everyone! We are still as always looking for more people to help us expand our space roman empire and to enslave the inner sphere with our overwhelming power and teamwork that no other successor state has ever seen!

Also, did I mention we have beer? Yes that's right! Feel free to drink beer and play MWO. (it's safer than drinking and flying a dropship)

On a serious note, feel free to PM me for inquiries :P

Also, because I'm not a broken record and I ALWAYS say new things, feel free to read our general intro which tells you what we look for in new recruits and why not to allow your loyal dog, Bingo to pilot your 'mech.

Before you read the following, allow me to personally say, that we are a semi-casual group with a twist. We do use tactics like calling targets, focus firing, deciding where to move as a group, etc...but we like to make sure we have fun. With that being said, feel free to read the rest and enjoy :P

Before I go into the introduction and general idea on who we are, let me start off by saying that everyone is laidback, mature, and has a good time. We currently have 7 active members and are working on expanding. Most of us come on Friday-Sunday 8pm-1am EST. However, people are almost always on during the weeknights. With that being said, here is our intro:

Hello, fellow Mechwarrior. I have come from the Mercenary Unit that serves the Marian Hegemony to extend you an invitation to our group of Mechwarriors who enjoy piloting anything to tickle our fancy and enjoy doing so in the process

We do have team colors as well as a preferred camo pattern, but if you can not afford the camo or colors, or need time to afford them, that is 100% okay.

–[We have practices throughout the week at various times to accomodate those in different timezones]-- We understand that many people have a life outside MWO. If you can show up, great. If not, no harm done.

We don't care about skill, race, gender, how long you have played, etc. As long as you meet a few simple requirements you are golden. These requirements are:

Salutations all! As always, we are looking for mechwarriors both new and veteran looking for a home where they can feel comfortable with running what they like to play without worrying about someone saying otherwise.

If this sounds like it is too good to be true; fear not fellow C-Bill enthusiasts! We allow people to run a build so long as they feel comfortable running it. You like lasers? Go nuts. You like to go streaking against light 'mechs? Go wild. Heck, if you like going fast, go fast! It is all welcomed here at the 1st Alphard Legionnaires.

Think of it as a C-Bill playground.

Any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to PM me here on the forums and I will be glad to respond to them in a timely manner when able to (I'm on here at least once a day).

Happy Hunting! ~Dangerzone

EDIT: Oh, and one more thing. We are the 1st Alphard Legionnaires. NOT the 1st Alphardian Legionnaires. That my fellow pilots is what is known as a HPG Transmission Error. :)
