I usually have a ping of around 30 (28 usually, 38 in storms) and usually the game is as smooth as glass but over the last two weeks (end Nov, beginning Dec 2013) there is a lag build up on the server side with the game. I would speculate that it came in with the adjusted hit boxes. It is starting to affect the games more and more,especially when there are a few players with high pings in the drop. (200+) but it is becoming evident now in games wit lower pings all round (180 -). If there haven't been any upgrades to the actual game server in the last year (actual hardware replacement, Components being reseated or even someone going in with a can of High Pressure AIR to blow it out) Then I would suggest that it is time to do this before the Christmas Break hits. If the server is down for 3 hours but you have let everyone know that it is going to be down and why (not just on twitter 30 seconds before the shutdown) then this won't be an issue.

Games is a lagging boys and it's not Client side.

Personally, after the patch, i have been having a lot off problems with lag and and game freezes. I get disconnected every 3 game i play.

I've had 2000m/s ping before. 2000!!! And I didn't disconnect. I can't hit/strike anything.

Im in the same city as the servers, and generally have a 20ish ping. In the last 3 weeks im averaging 60+, with spikes up to the 2000ms range.

any word yet? it's really starting to become bad. Mechs not accelerating for 2 seconds and then exploding like the game has already decided that it's time for you to die. I ran the repair tool and reset everything on my side, still have a ping of 28. I'm on Bell Fiber-Op with their top speed 80/500 I think it is. there is absolutely no evidence that this is on my end. The lack of a response is annoying but the lag in the game is worse.

To give you an idea when I'll be back to play I'll just say Merry Christmas now and maybe Happy New Year.
