First off, this game has far exceeded my expectations so far with the general feel and looks of the combat and mech physics. So thank you so much for this game!
...I feel detached though.
In Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries we had a desk, Comstar link, cup of coffee sitting there etc. I was able to see the spoils of victory and salvage from my last battle in my mech lab (Hey I managed to pick up a LL, cool!). It was great, I felt connected to the game and I felt rewarded after a battle.
I know there are bigger fish to fry, but PGI, can I have an office? Can we have a more intimate connection with our Mech Lab? Holy cow can I even walk from my office to my mech lab?? Eventually?
I need more immersion off the field. A base of operations, something I can fiddle around in for a while and call my own.
Happy Hunting and thank you again for this great game!

Definately, Mechwarrior needs some depth and a downtime area to go afk at, or otherwise chill out with a nice screen saver.
A place to get out of the mech and so on.
I am actually looking forward to an in game store, and hope that the galaxy map is something like Mass Effects. It would be great to see a full game experience.

I agree. Maverick posted a great pilot desk idea. We should really get avatars too.
The entire immersion experience blows in that sense, something I always hoped for, but I guess is relegated to our imaginations for now.
