I found this table;
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...eapon_heatscale
After looking through the table I noticed that I can fire 6 medium lasers without any additional heat penalties. However I've always thought that if I fire my weapons as soon as the cool down is over I get additional heat added as a penalty.
Is this correct?
Is there any other information I need to know about heat that isn't in this table?
Thanks

No, that is not correct
The heat penalty only applies to weapons fired within a .5 second time frame.
If you fire 6ML, (with a beam duration of 1s.) and then wait for the cooldown (another 3 seconds) you will be well outside of the .5 second limit (1s + 3s > .5s) and will incur no heat penalty when you fire again.

Ahh thanks for the information, so if I have 6 medium lasers and a clear shot I'm best firing all 6 in a single volley than separating them in to 2/3 weapon groups?

Yup - unless you're already close to overheating, then you can fire them in smaller groups or chain fire them, but regardless of how you fire them it's still 4 heat per laser fired, unless you shoot 7 or more of them.

If your mech can handle the heat... yes certainly! There is no additional penalty so definitely do it with your Jenner F.
To amplify and extend Demax's comment...
If you had 9 Medium Lasers you could fire 6 at once... wait 0.5s and fire 3 more... with no heat penalty.
