Hello,

Pretty often, the hit sound that should play when my mech takes damage doesn't play (same issue as explained here : http://mwomercs.com/...registry-issue/ )Does anyone have it too? Would it be possible to fix it, as it's extremly annoying not to know when you take damage

Yes, frequently. Been like that for many months. It affects all types of weapons.

Psssst! your dead. Its just not mechwarrior. I think its possible its lag.

I hvt seen this sinse launch but i used to see the heat arrive from hits before the actual projectile/beam. It was particularly obvious when its a LL and this is what made me clock why i was having heat spikes. Sinse launch its become i see the beam/projectile hit the ground next to me.... and then the dmg arrives. Often the correct weapon sounds are not played.

Yes, lots of folks see this. It's one of the reasons AC2's (and other high rate of fire weapons) seem so powerful, the server may recognize several hits on you before you get any notification, sound, rock, fire indicator, damage doll flashing, that you are being hit. So, one hit notification and the arrival of maybe 2 or 3 hits worth of damage. Ouch. And a single high damage shot you may never hear, just suddenly you are orange CT with no other damage indicator.

I've noticed this more often being hit by people with a high ping, but it hasn't been limited to just coming from high-pingers.

Glad to know i am not alone with this. You are right that it was doing it before, and the notification that comes after too.
However, for me, it's just doing it a lot more since 2-3 weeks, at a point where it's very noticiable... Hit reg seems to go a bit crazy too, with lots of false positives, especially on lights.
Maybe i am getting more packet losses or something (my ping is still the same, in the 130 ish)

I think there might be issues with target dmg% aswell. Im sure it gets stuck sometimes.

serious post no jokes intended ;)

Yep, I've started noticing this as well, though it's pretty intermittent. I'm not even sure if the damage directional indicator, the red bar that flashes to show where the hit came from, displays.

When it happens I usually only notice after Betty complains about critical damage in the section.

Like people have said before, this problem has been going on for quite a while now. It is extreamly frustrating getting shot and see all your armour taken off and not hear a thing. Hopefully PGI will see that this issue needs to be a priority..

Yep, it has been quite bad at times. Just walking around the map minding my business and suddenly I notice I'm missing a limb. Please fix.

I have a major problem with this. I think around 50% of the hits I receive from long range (aside from the motion sickness missile launchers) have no feedback aside from the flashing paper doll. It's really annoying because I can't tell what's hitting me and from where, especially since these advanced 31st century war machines can't see behind them.

HSR i think.

They miss you on your client (so no impact/sound) but on their end they score a hit, HSR kicks in and registers the damage (idk 400-600ms round trip?) so about half a second after the shot passed you, you lose a chunk of armor.

afaik thats whats causing this.

It's HSR. When HSR calculates a hit, there are no visual effects or sound. Paperdoll changes silently. Been an issue since HSR was introduced.

I wish this issue was classified as a Known Issue. Currently only a Known By Everyone Except PGI Or They're Not Admitting To It Issue.

Been getting this a lot lately. No sound, no hit indicator, just Betty's "XY critical damage"-message out of the blue or insta-death.

Feels like packet loss/lag to me.

Which kinda makes me wonder why people with such high pings would even be able to still score damage. Shouldn't a game like this do a damage "cutoff" once a player has a ridiculously high ping? Plus I'm pretty sure that I have dealt lost/unregistered damage over the past 5 days or so when pings were horrible for me. 1 or 2 AC20s hitting Jenners in the face with no result, pounding people from the rear with no result and then getting unrealistically low overall damage for the mission.

Another reason I'm saying this is that I was on the receiving end of it quite frequently with HPB-spiders who would park themselves on my 6 in my (seismic-less) Stalker and just plink away with 4 MGs until they critted me. I don't run a whole lot of rear armor, but still enough that this must've been one long firing session to remove it all with MGs.

And unless you have a squaddie with you and thanks to the absence of a rear-view mirror (too high-tech for 3050, I suppose), there's no way to know the guy is even there.

The Rear View Mirror? Of what madness do you speak, strange one? Could this be Lostech? Maybe the Clans possess such exotic high technology?

been mentioned so many times, I have now gave up hope of a fix . happens more in my jag, than it does in any other mech, really is annoying when you just drop down dead, and look up to see how much damage you have taking, and find out its more than you thought. the warnings would help a lot, as you could at least try and take cover. and most of the time I don't even get Betty's "XY critical damage"-message

I've had this happening a lot more recently. Last night was particularly bad for me. There were multiple instances where I would have armor that was maybe yellow, then all of a sudden my armor is gone, but there was NO indication that I had even been hit. No sound, no shake, no anything. Pretty frustrating to see your armor gone and have no indication of being hit.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Yes, this is particularly annoying, especially when you think you are safe under cover and all of a sudden you have a cored component and no audio cue to indicate a problem. The audio brings just as much important tactical information as the graphics and lends to an overall quality game experience. Something true for every PvP oriented game. Everything counts.

I've experienced this problem, I've also experienced the problem where I get hit by an armament and there is no red flash on my HUD to alert me to the direction the shot came from. I just notice that my rear torso goes from armored to cored without so much as a screen shake/sound/or flash on my HUD.
