The current prices in the game are all right.

Prices for Phoenix Package (not the minor once) or Sabre was acceptable
Yes I think sabre is a good example:
~$30 ~ 6500MC
devided for 110t HeroMech and 220t standard:

~ 30 MC per ton for HeroMechs (<50% actual costs)
~ 15 MC per ton for non HeroMechs

a Commando - any kind of will cost 375MC..(half the actual costs)

actually it the MC pricing for regular Mech is not on weight dependend but C-Bill (actually 1MC ~2500 C-Bills...and you don't even want the XL on your Atlas or Stalker but you pay for)
So if you want to buy a "Stock" Mech - you really should go for the Champions

Good luck getting people like me to stop paying. I have disposable income.

"A fool and his money...." and so on.

They'll always have the people who don't know the value of a dollar. They'd have the rest of us too if we were given a good deal.

If the current prices are actually necessary to fund development, fine. But for goodness' sake, throw in some added value along with the shinier robots. $20 for an advanced pack in War Thunder gets you a pretty powerful special airplane but they also throw in two weeks' premium time and enough premium currency to buy two more special planes or several levels' worth of experience, bypassing weeks of grind for an average player. In MWO you can't even get an assault hero mech at that price, much less any incentives.

Hero mechs I believe are very much overpriced, however most prices are on the fair side. I'd like to see a bit better MC to dollar conversion though with packages offering probably 25-40% more MC for the money.

Bottom line? If they don't lower prices on a few of their items, I won't purchase them. Some people will, come won't. They won't change the pricing until buying slows down. If I can sell a $5 item for $50 because it's a shiny new toy, then I will do so until the market either dries up or is too saturated to support that price, then I will drop the price in increments until I find another sweet spot. OR I will use sales to figure out which items will sell best at what prices.......

it's because of people like this who have lost their idea of value in money. There is no such thing as 'disposable' income. That is a term coined to make people feel better about their terrible spending habits. Yes, I have "disposable" income too. Enough that I have spent thousands a month on RCE games and the like.

Interesting. I've spent $740 in this game so far and have been playing since closed beta. I have played for over 210 hours which equates to roughly $3.50 spent per hour. MWO is entertainment for me. In the grand scheme of things $3.50 an hour is a drop in the bucket compared to other forms of entertainment. I spent $65 on Black Ops II and I've played it for less than 5 hours. If I go to the movies it's $12 for a regular movie which is $6 per hour. If you get a decent looking escort, it's $300+ an hour. You ever heard you gotta pay to play? It's truer than you will ever know!

I haven't lost the idea of value of money. In fact, the reason why I don't mind spending money on this game is because the amount of time I would have to spend to grind to get what I want. When my company bills out at $105 an hour per employee, it makes no sense for me to grind to get what I want. I might have an hour or two a day to play at the most and it would take me forever to get what I want. I work very hard so I can play hard and $3.50 an hour is a drop in the bucket to me because I spend way more on other forms of entertainment that might not satisfy me the way this game can.

It's pretty ironic that the guy calling someone out for saying they've lost the value of money has spent "thousands" of dollars in a month on other games but he's firmly grounded in the value of money! ;)

I think 2x those prices would be fairer. That said, if they all of a sudden changed their pricing they'd have to issue MC refunds to everyone who's bought mechs so far. And there a lot of Hero mechs running around...

I've bought both Dragon hero mechs, (Fang and Flame), and also the Cicada hero, (The X-5). I would not ask for a refund for the difference in price if they dropped that price. I made the decision to buy them then and I can live with that.
However I am seriously balking at ever buying another hero mech because of the pricing. They really need to rethink their pricing models for Hero mechs and also GXP conversion rates. I have a mountain of unconverted GXP because it just costs too much at the moment.

A year's sub to most MMOs is $180 and then a $50 price for buying the account or box and most MMOs have WAY more content than MWO ever will.

For instance, if I was going to spend money on a F2P game right now I'd probably hit up planetside 2 instead. The most exspensive weapons in the game are $10. The premium time is also a way better deal https://www.planetside2.com/membership and it gets better the longer you subscribe.

The game also has had a good stream of content including a new continent. The most exspensive buys in the game are 1000 certs which isn't too bad once you learn the game. I can easily get over 100 certs in a night (2-3 hours) playing smart.

$740 for 210 hours of play time is very bad value in the sphere of online gaming. I spent $50 on diablo 3 and have played it well over 500 hours. The fact that you think it isn't that bad shows that you don't exactly value your gaming dollars very much.

If a mech goes on 50% sale, I'm not gonna lie, very good chance I'll buy it. I'd probably be spending money bi-weekly buying a new chassis to try out, sticking to the ones I like for a while, and moving on from the ones I don't.

Also, if mechlabs were only fifty cents, you'd be set for three months, easily. Which, I actually like not worrying about spending MC for a new mech.

I don't think that there should be a price differential between chassis. All mechs £10, Heroes $15, Champions $12.50.
Mechbays stay the same.
