It would be cool if they tied it to the cockpit lights setting. Dimming the lights would turn off the red eyes. Or to make it even cooler, when you dim to the lowest settings, it could turn the internal lights red and that would match up to the external light color. Would feel like you were in a submarine :)

This reminds me of a particular match where my Dragon got a beating and the Heavy dmg indicator turned on.

Striding along forest colony cave in the dark and the red lights glowing around the cockpit ligthing it ominously like in a terror sci-fy film.

And then i notice something at my left, over the dashboard a figure looking at me and grinning rytmically with the red lighs.

I forced myself to look there and watch my coconut monkey moving along, the time paused while it grin hypnotized me.
Kill them all sound on my head, KILL THEM!! My imagination twisting the situation with memories of terror films.

I snapped back to myself , found myself chuckling and laughing maniacally as the idea of kill or be killed filling my mind.

The more people that vote yes or no on the is in the 'Feature Suggestion' thread, the better chance of it getting implemented! Please do so!

Make it a MC option like a camo or paint. Have different types, colours, flashing etc. Allow them to be toggled. PGI earn money, players enjoy game=win

yup yup, but I would like to be able to turn it on and off with a push of the button, gimme the red eyes Posted Image
Then you'll have people trying to give enemies seizures by setting a macro to flicker them on and off.

Although it'd be kinda neat if there was... say... a clan of old deaf ww2 veterans that communicated via morse code :).

I'm for it, but it should be from interior lighting in the cockpit making everything tinted red for the atlas pilot.

I don't even care if it makes me more of a target. The mech was so much more menacing with the glowing eyes

I agree.

And yes, having the glowing red eye across the map, with my 47 inch monitor and advanced targeting zoom would make my Gaussapult a happy cat.

That said, actually hitting that eye unless the Atlas was sitting still, not too likely. But hey, even if I drive one, yeah, I liked the red eyes.

Well, if they make it a toggle, that's entirely up to the pilot then.

Make it a "cockpit" item that appears on the outside of the mech. Actually given the eye is the cockpit that does make a bit of sense.

Not my cockpit I'm worried about. If you can see me across the map, so can everyone else on your team.

So toggle it off. I'm not saying they should 'put it back in.'

I'm saying they should put it back in AND give us the option to turn it on or off. Those people worried about being visible, turn it off.

Everyone else? Keep it on.

The OP mentions nothing about toggling on/off.

You are correct, and your concern was addressed halfway down the first page, when the idea of a toggle came up, and everyone started saying 'Yes please!'

There's a poll in 'Feature Suggestions' that includes the toggling feature here.

And I voted in it. If I wanted to toggle a "Your Here" sign above my head, I'd use 3pv.

That's fine, and it's your preference. You posted that the OP didn't include a toggle, so I thought maybe you'd missed it further down. Cheers.

view it more like: the match is going well, both sides are pretty beat up, then the other team's fresh Atlas that was hanging back in ECM cover announces itslef by flipping on the red eyes at teh same time a wave of missiles and a Gauss round tears ya apart.

The morale of anyone left would just plummet knowing a fresh atlas was coming to claim them.
