TIME IS MONEY

or in MWO language: time is C-Bill income

the great new "Ready Button" - the next idea, no one demanded for - is nothing more than an indirect C-Bill nerf !

If we need more time to start a match, than we can't do as many matches as before within a certain amount of time. this means that we will have a lower C-Bill/XP-income per hour.

Im really sick of PGI.
Ive never seen such a bunch of community-unfriendly guys who will a lot of money from us and give us very little for it. for every community-friendly decission they roll out 2 community-unfriendly decissions.
The newest patch brings us the next income-nerf in a row of many income nerfs, which makes a grindy game even more grindy.

In "World of Tanks", there a regularly events with 2x/3x/4x/5x income for several days !
Have u ever seen something like that in MWO, maybe for just 1 day ? maybe for "launch day" ?
NO ?.....well, now u understand why Im really pissed off by PGIs income policy

I'm not pissed off and I don't really think they are "community unfriendly", but I find interesting the correlation between time and c-bill accumulation. In that regard, the ready button is indeed the indirect c-bill nerf.

I agree that they should have doubled weekends or something occasionally to raise interest from the playerbase. So far launch has been very poor form IMO.

This and the slow matchmaking that either fails you 4 out of 5 times to even properly match yourself into any match when you launch solo.

I wonder who has invested in premium time.. how much is happy at the moment!!

its a team game
its ppls fault by default if they not use the time to work out some start
or sync each other up in the team list
dont defend dumbness of players

I bought a month previous to the patch (about 20ish days left now?) and I'm not too happy. I'm going to make the best of it I can, but it's still annoying and unnecessary.

Relax, ppl are still getting used to the ready button. Its a good thing, by forcing ppl to actually read who they are playing against/with it will help ppl get to know the community more.

What? It's the players fault that PGI put in a sorry substitute for pre-match lobbies that also happens to reduce c-bills per hour? How is this even remotely the players fault?

Remember that they added this "feature" because they plan on monetizing lobbies and chat, which is why we don't have them in game yet.

EDIT: And no being able to chat after you drop does not count, neither does being able to chat for 60 seconds right before you drop.

Cmon guys think about it. Pre-match lobbies and general chat. Two things that have been a part of online gaming for a LONG TIME, that we do not have at launch. Why can't we have these basic features that have been in games for decades? Because PGI knows MWO is a niche game, so they have to find ways to squeeze every cent out of the player base.

Pre-match lobbies and GENERAL CHAT, would do that much better. But we are gonna have to pay for these things.

Wait till they have the real lobbies in where you have to vote on the map and choose a mech after the map is known. That would be a much bigger c-bill nerf.

And the real lobbies will also require premium account or will have an MC cost attached to them. Hooray for monetized basic features!

This is true. It also penalizes and detracts from any premium time purchased by further reducing the number of games being played per hour, per day (on top of the already slow to find matches newly introduced match making mechanism)

New match maker - added 1 to 3 minutes per match
New Ready button - added 1 minute (only had 1 out of 25 matches or so last night where the full 60 seconds did not count down)

Total 2 to 4 minutes per match now lost, per hour.

I know it is a F2P game, however, the value to most who play is to work hard, earn something (c-bills for this game), buy something better (new shiny armored robots to blow {Shazbot} up with) and have fun earning more of something (additional c-bills) to buy bigger, more b4d4$$ somethings to continue to blow 5H!T up in a more expeditious manner.

No matter how you look at it, the economy of doing so in the last three patches has taken a serious reduction in earning potential and PGI should acknowledge and adjust if the previous level prior to the match maker and ready button was the optimal earnings level as previously indicated by PGI.

Get us back to that level per hour. I will take fewer matches per hour if I can earn the same.

60 seconds, 10,000 matches = 10,000 minutes = 166 hours of our lives down the tubes.

im still wondering

Russ said after the last (harsh criticized) C-Bill nerf that the income is "where they want it to be"

but now, its (idirectly) nerfed again.

im loosing a lot of time to start a match (1-3minutes) by longer matchmaking+ready button, and so im loosing income/hour.
