Blazing Inferno - As of 3028, the techs on Chara III used this designation for a frequent field modification that removed both missile launchers from the COM-2D and exchanged them for three additional medium lasers to the right arm, right torso and head, six small lasers mounted in pairs on each leg and the center torso, and an additional ton of armor (+3 to each leg, +2 to the head, center torso and both torso sides, and +1 to each arm).
This was my first favorite mech from my first Mechwarrior game. Not for the faint of heart and scares the hell out of Ravens and other scout mechs. It ran hot and you had to know how to use it to keep from over heating. However, you never wanted it alphaing into your back if you were a larger mech.

Well, give that variant a try in MWO, see how it does in battle. I am going to remove the missiles from my Commando too.

If I am not mistaken weapons have hard points. So in order to have a laser boat you need to have laser hardpoints in that location.
