I've long sinced used my founders catapult but on a whim I decided to see how it fairs now. During the beta days I could not get any decent kills/dmg done with it and now i find im still in the same boat.
My current setup has x1 LRM20's x2 ER lasers x1 SRM6 x1 flame thrower
Trying to do a jack of all trades since i rarely get kills with dual lrm's.
Any body else got a more viable build thats working for them?

No offence, but that build has 0 synergy whatsoever. You're forcing weapons on it with different optimal ranges that makes it hard to manage. Simplifying your weapon loadout and playing to its strengths should be what you should want to do. I present to you two options, depending on your preference for weapons.
CPLT-S1
A fairy simple, straightforward build with LRMs, 2 Large Lasers and a TAG laser for target acquisition. You don't need to add SRMs or Flamers, the Large Lasers are still just as usable up close 'till at least 600m away. I personally use ER Large Lasers for a reach of up to 650M WIthout losing any damage to range.
CPLT-S2
For this variant, we're trading off some ammo and downgrading the size of our LRMs in return for PPCs, if you prefer weapons that minimize your exposure or if you wanna try your hand in some jump sniping. Still comes equipped with a TAG for your own target acquisition.
If your Faith in LRMs has been totally broken, then try this very simple, effective alternative.

None taken. I'll try out the first build since I want to go back to playing a more support styled role and see how that goes.

I use an almost identical build to his CPLT-S1 although I drop it to a 255XL engine for the extra half ton of armor

I run something close to that C1. Damage/kills to weight LRMs just don't work for me. A pair of 15/20's might see one or two kills, but there are plenty of times that you dump the entire payload with little or nothing to show for it. I run it with either ASRMs or SSRMs, and let the lasers do the work.
