What do you guys think about an overview table like the following? I know we already have many mech lists (80bit, Maverick, etc.), and smurfy's tables are great, but there isn't a compact overview that is focused on beginners. I thought featuring the most important mech characteristics along with strengths, weaknesses, and a recommendation rating for beginners could be a good idea. Of course, it would need an introductory text that explains some of the fields (e.g. concerning the hardpoints or what XL:y means). Maybe we could even link to some recommended builds.

So what do you think? Useful or redundant? If it's generally considered useful, I would volunteer to fill the table and edit it on suggestions (because I am not an MWO pro with every mech in the stable). Anyway, here is an example of how the table could look:

Smurfy pretty much lists all of that that isn't subjective.

Yep, but there are some things you can't see at a glance, e.g. top speed, whether it can fit an AC/20, and of course, the additional things you call subjective. Also, a beginner first has to find smurfy's tool at all.
