The monorail in Crimson Strait map has no collision mask. It does not block mech movement, nor weapons-fire. As a consequence, it also cannot be walked on.

Saw that too, was hoping to use it as a means of travel.

We're aware of it. It's already been fixed - it'll be in the next patch.

Just tested from testing grounds and confirmed..

I guess maybe it was too thin for some mechs to run on and they removed the ability to touch it.

oh NVM, see above.

nice!

thanks for the update Thad.

Mind if I ask for clarification on what the fix is? Will mechs be able to walk on the monorail? I hope not... Too narrow.

Oh you'll be able to walk on it... However your mech will have a new animation with their arms outstretched (will not be able to use arm weapons obviously) and your ability to traverse the monorail will be dependant upon the gyro skill module. :D

It will have normal collision. Yes you'll be able to walk on it. Why anyone would want to is, perhaps, more of a mystery.
