Community Warfare will be delivered in three phases over the next six months, Ekman said. For more on MWO's upcoming Community Warfare expansion, check out the full video. The video also features some footage of MWO's upcoming revamp of its interface system, UI 2.0, which is set to be released in the next four weeks, according to Ekman.
I guess UI 2.0 gets released tomorrow then

Same old, same old *sighs*

Was it silly of me to have the expectation that maybe PGI would surprise us by releasing UI2.0? Maybe...
Was there and update as to why they are slipping the plan? Not seen it.
Will this impact CW plan/schedule? you'd have to be a {Dezgra} to expect no, of course it will.
Well the above was posted prior to the UI2.0 public test server PREVIEW yesterday.
After the preview, I now understand why the UI 2.0 is NOT in test or released yet. PGI has a lot of unfinished work to do on it. What they have working is drop dead gorgeous, however it is woefully incomplete. Also it take way too many mouse clicks to get simple tasks completed. Drag and drop is not yet working either. Based on what is left to do, we might see it live by Christmas, certainly not by Thanksgiving and more likely by March next year.

Community Warfare is coming eight months ago, so what do you expect? :V

One of the special ultimate Faction rewards should be adding one hardpoint to a mech you have Mastered, but only one, or a larger than spec engine, or ECM, etc. And each Faction has only one of these rewards to offer, and it would cost alot of course. Players would grind for that, I guarentee.

Is it? I heard about that but didn't know they actually rolled back the clock.
Weird cause I have a 3050 hologram in my founder's cat.
How can you even tell it's 3048? I can't remember the last time they posted one of those "news" updates based on actual lore from the timeline.

Wow...this thread is like looking into the past.
Well, except the past is the same as today...some sort of weird time paradox. Like we're in Groundhog's Day, playing the same game over and over.

HERE, YOU SONNAVABITCH

I've sent an application to work on their team as a designer, so SUCK IT.
How is that going btw. I sent them $90.00 in the Kickstarter and they sent it back to me. Apparently there was an issue? Care to let us in on the inside scoop on that. You seem to be in the know?

gets you what? the ability to read through their FAQ? There is no game there from what I saw. It's a webpage about a game they want to develop. It might be fun for $10 if it gets developed but I can see from the mech and weapon descriptions this isn't what most Btech players are going to want.
oh and it's 3rd person
Just checked out the videos for the Heavy Gear and 'M.A.V' games .... I almost died laughing.
I realize it was 'Alpha' footage, but ******** did that MAV game look fugly. Add the Balloon popping when it fired the gun and i lost it.
From what i saw, they're taking the old school Armored Core build'a'mech concept. Which is admirable, as the original AC games were crazy good fun. But ******** was that footage ugly.
Heavy Gear looks a lot like Gundam, Arena Version. Not even the slightest bit of interest there. Looked kinda ... cartoony to me.
Just comparing those games in their alpha states to what i found in MWO's Closed Beta. They have an unreal amount of visual polish work ahead if they want to look even half as good as MWO's 'Mechs do.

If they succeed at the Feb 4th promise, id be inclined to think yes.
I do kinda want them to come out with a statement on Feb 3 that UI2.0 will have to be delayed till clans, then drop it into the Feb 4 patch lol
EDITS: Fail at editing apparently.

Not sure they have the goodwill/leeway to joke about things like that anymore. Though, it would be extra awesome if they also dropped CW on the 2/4/13 patch as well.

Also look at War Thunder, Elder Scrolls online, Elite Dangerous, GTAV online, Titanfall, Hawken, Neverwinter and others....
They are shouting about their projects from the rooftops and releasing loads of screenies and vids about their upcoming stuff......
Going with Star Citizen, they released this video of their PRE-ALPHA hangar module..........
(...)
It's basic, incomplete and full of bugs (in the footage the player climbs up an invisible ladder) but do you know what? We don't care! We want to see work in progress no matter how "complete" it is.
It's quite ironic that PGI can go for launch with an incomplete game and yet fail to release a single snippet of footage of community warfare under the guise of "we haven't finished it yet".
Yeah right.

I'm just following Neverwinter and War Thunder.
Gaijin, War Thunder devs for instance are a average, humble team who manage to develop several games (check their home page, surprising) and deliver solid and damn nice content
==> check their upcoming Tanks part, they're just about to blow up the biggest mmo success story I know, World of tanks !
edit : also they were wise enough to keep the Beta tag on their main tittle, even if the game is pretty polished right now...
