OP, I appreciate your bringing up points about the new system, but I think the poll oversimplifies the issue.

I don't care for the mechanic because I PUG and I find it an irritation as it has been implemented for many of the reasons you list. But I also think it is a great feature in certain contexts and want it to be available for those who find it useful.

Put me down for "Support the feature, strongly dislike the implementation."

Thanks for intelligent debate. I only wish I had made a better poll. Sounds like ought to lean towards "bad". It's my own fault. I'm very disgruntled at this implementation. It would be perfect for a 12 v 12 pre-arranged match, but these PUG matches are making it very frustrating.

In recent events, I have dropped once and found my 'ready' button was ghosted out grey. I could not ready up. And was forced to wait.

I like the ready button. One step closer to CW.

I dont like it for random 12s matches.

The wait time is longer now.
In the first 5 matches no match started before the 60 second timer.

I feel before it was 15-30 seconds.
Now the trolls got even more to spam before the game starts.
Dont want to mention now what i was reading there in the few matches i have done.

Dislike from me.

PS: Your poll is like rate from 1 to 10, 1 is best.

Agree for it is bad or do i agree with this feature?

I didn't see a point in the ready button till I read some of the people's replies. I agree it's a good idea, just implemented poorly.

Here's my fist drop with the READY button after not being able to play sense August.

When I first dropped I watched the player list like I normally do to see who I was dropping with and how many people we still needed. When it took a min I started to look around and noticed the bright green button telling me I was ready to go. So I looked at the player list and over half the list still wasn't ready including me. Putting two and two together I clicked the bright green button, to see if it would change any thing. So I thought it was a bad idea and why was it even there. I was ready when I clicked launch.

I disagree. It is a good idea, it just needs a better implementation.

Prior to the patch the wait time was variable depending on when you and everyone else joined and how long the search went on for that last scrape of the Elo barrel to round out the team. This was evident in the fact that sometimes you could type out a doctoral dissertation in the pre-game chat and other times you could barely get out a "gl & h..." before you were cut off. The new button seems to spilt the difference, edging more towards the slightly longer time. If every single match you have people not readying up you could potentially wait longer for matches to begin. As people get used to it, the loads will probably be faster than before. I don't currently believe that people will really troll this beyond its newness phase. Most people just aren't used to it yet. PGI could help out in the near term by making the button look like a stripper and having it go "AROOOOGA! AROOOGA!" for the first two weeks or so... Also, depending on how they build on this, it could really help out with tactics if the map becomes much more interactive in the pregame segment and each team has their own to plan on.

tl;dr strippers, "AROOOGA"

I voted "bad", but that's mainly for the implementation:

- I get the idea that people will want the pause to organise lances etc. before the official start.

- It needs to be more obvious, and it needs to be more aligned with the player's team (rather than the enemy!). Not because I will ever have trouble finding it again, but because every game I've played so far has had some newcomer saying "what's happening", and when told "we're waiting for you to ready up", they then ask "how?". Obviously the interface design is less than optimal...

What ever else it is, as pointed out its a c bill nerf. Its just one more reason not to buy premium time. Infact the entire premium time mechanic appears to me to be on more and more shaky ground atm.

The counter ticks down...40 30 20.. people are moaning, the game isnt starting.... the counter resets 50 40 30, people are swearing and cursing both pgi and the people who are slow to ready.

In theory there is nothing wrong with a ready button, but it seems to be clashing with the people who are playing the game

I do not like the ready button. I can understand it's uses in premade groups but not for pugs.

a simple solution would be to change the ready button into a wait button witch gives a team 60 seconds for set up their lances, otherwise start the game within 10 seconds.

or give me something to do e.g. look up my teammates loadout. would be great especially for someone who wants to set up a good lance

Remove the damn ready button or give us a hot key to ready up. Seriously, you shouldn't launch into a game if your NOT READY!

Seriously, devs... what are you thinking here? You're now asking us to verify we want to play MULTIPLE FRIGGEN TIMES!

This seems like it would be useful... IF there was other functionality: mech switching, reloading, etc. Right now it seems pointless and a waste of time. This should have been added along with new functions, not by itself.

Get it gone, please.

PGI has stated they will be adding mech switching and such. Think of this as just the start of that. Baby steps at times.

How about glow red until you click it and in the middle under the lists
I think that's a great idea
