After searching and reading I still dont have an answer so im going to ask at the risk of repeating a thread I simply couldnt find...
Engine heat sinks are doubles, and DHS outside the engine are 1.4.
I've heard opinions that it is only the first 10 that are true DHS and i've heard that any DHS placed into the engine (So for example the first 14 in a 360) are true DHS.
Can anyone confirm one way or another?
Thanks and apologies if i've missed the previous conversation.

In engine DHS give 2.0 and anything outside is 1.4 including those that go in the engine slots.
So the smallest engine that gives the 2.0 for the first 10 is a 250. All smaller is based on how many are inside.
And you can check out smurfy's for various stats, and who also has a breakdown in the Weaponlab tab when you have a mech build like this Victor, for example.

IDK anymore... I was testing the other day and the heat value was equal if I put in a engine sink versus an external sink.... Best way is to equip an engine with extra slots, equip an internal DHS, save, and record the value. Then take it out and put a DHS in a side torso, save, and record the value. I was using smurphy's so an in game test is warranted.
