That looks like a local path, you need to upload it somewhere.

You have to upload it to an image hosting service. We can't access your z: drive. :D

That is indeed a local path. I'm guessing Mr. Drock tried to simply drag the image into the post editor. It will appear in the editor as a normal picture, but the final result when you actually post is just the file's location as text.

so no matter what i must create a lame account on some website and post the it there so i can post it here.

To post it pretty much anywhere. Yes, most accounts require you to register.

I think imgur.com has some registration free upload capabilities, but don't quote me on that.

Right click on the image and select 'copy image location' (or similair). Then click the image button on the post editor and paste the image address there.

Like so:

I cant get the ******* thing to work.

Keep at it. It's not complicated, and it's a basic skill everyone should be able to do. Every site is basically the same, and if you have future work you want to show off, you'll need to know how to do this.

The post editor in this forum tries to simplify things a lot. When you press the image button it creates the bbc code (a set of instructions that tell the forum how to format your post) for you, but it's all hidden from view (the post you're writing looks like what will be posted, rather than the code the post contains). To see what the post really is click the small light switch icon at the top left of the post editor.

For example this:
B
Should become this:
B

Here is the image address:
http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/275/4/f/background_by_marackdrock-d6oxi0c.jpg

Here is the code that makes it appear as an image on a forum (placed in a CODE block so that the forum won't turn it into an image):

And here is the image as it appears:

If the problem you're having is getting the address:

If you're using Firefox:
Right click on the image. Select 'Copy image location' then right click on the post editor and select 'paste'.

If you're using Chrome:
Right click on the image. Select 'Copy image URL' then right click on the post editor and select 'paste'.

If you're using Internet Explorer:
Left click on the image, hold the left mouse button down and drag the cursor over the address bar then release. This should then load a new page which is contains only that image. Right click on the address bar and select 'copy' then right click on the post editor and select 'paste'. Then download a browser which isn't terrible and use that instead.
