Generally say Guillotine

But frequently trumped by the (ComStar) Battle Cobra

I've always had a thing for the Hunchback and the Hatchetman, but if I am really being honest with myself...it's the Kodiak, all the way.

As for myself, I've always liked the missile mechs of Dervish, Trebuchet, and Grasshopper (which Theodore piloted in Heir to the Dragon).

I've long been a fan of the Falconer, a fine looking machine...
Posted Image
Wait, that's the ugly TRO 3055 pic. Let's see, oh, cool, Flying Debris did a redesign...
Posted Image
...okay, it's still not winning any beauty contests. But jump jets, 80km/h, a gauss rifle, PPC and 4 medium lasers? It's a beast in table top BattleTech.

More recently, though, my eyes have been drawn to the Gunsmith. Only a modest armament, but being capable of doing over 200km/h. It's made by a company who normally make aerospace fighters, and I'm pretty sure that's what they thought they were making here until someone asked where the legs were. And unlike the Falconer, it's quite easy on the eyes.

Hey there,

Just threw this thread up for a bit of fun. Out of the whole history and franchise of mechwarrior, what is your favourite mech?

Mine has to be the Hitman.
What is yours? Leave a comment? :D

The Awesome. A heavily armoured PPC platform that never needs reloads, has a pretty decent speed for its weight, especially if its a 9M, with shield arms. You've got range, decent speed (especially if you upgrade), and more armour than you'll ideally need with the long range of PPCs. Sad they borked it in MWO by making PPCs slow and giving the Awesome a very wide torso, I much preferred the thinner torso from MW4, as it goes neatly with its pauldrons. I still own a few Awesomes though, and probably will end up getting all of them but the Pretty Baby because... yeah... those hardpoints are... umm... yeah...

The Raven takes second place. That thing is a rather nice ride.

Most of my favourites are Star League mechs. Among my favourites, the Zeus, the Crab, the Rifleman, the Warhammer, and so on. Also, personally not a big fan of it, but much respect to the Orion.

for me it was the Mauler. This image that was riveted in my mind since i thought the arms were gauss rifles, and i did not know about the lasers, or the mauler at that point i didn't even know what the mech was called

Marauder IIC(MW2), BushWhacker(MW3), and Timber Wolf/Mad Cat(MW4). I'll take on any Diashi or Atlas in any of these.

I've been playing some rounds of 3145 recently, and I gotta say, the Jackalope is a badass little bambino. Fast with a mean punch and jumps like crazy. What's not to love?

FireMoth,http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Fire_Moth
I think it was one of the most fun mechs in MW2

my personal favorite is the MW4 Vulture
the classic vulture does look good, too, but for example i don't get familiar with the MWO vulture's look...too stubby for me...

what i would have never thought, as i hated it in MW4 (which brought me into the BT universe), is how much i visually enjoy the catapult, especially the K2

so...as much as my heart bleeds, my personal favorite would currently be the K2, as it is also a fire support mech and offers me the option to carry mgs :)

The http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Talos . Because the Periphery is quite capable of making a badass effective medium that's easy on the eyes too.
