I am getting more confused as to which way Pgi is heading with this game. I play this game with my daughter and enjoy this game very much. When Russ said that they were implementing 3pv to get new players involved as easy as possible, I accepted this change for potentially new players and a longer game life ( even though my daughter never needed 3pv) . Now Pgi are implementing weapon mechanics ( Gauss ) to make it hard for them. I again can accept these weapon mechanics , but my daughter is having a hard time with them. Personnally , I would put Gauss back to what it was before ( simple click mechanics), get CW up and running, and then work out who is playing the game the most and tailor it then. Right now, Pgi, you are confusing both Newbies and Hardcore players , which could potentially lose alot of players to a very promising game.

I agree! More segregation with matchmaker is needed for this demographic. I think it's great he plays with his daughter but under no circumstances should they be tossed into matches with experienced players.

I agree with Core, with the qualification that the segregation should be wholly voluntary.

I've accidentally spent over $750 on MWO, and I know some people who have invested double that.

How? You buy every normal mech with mc instead of cbills?

Time vs money: it's cheaper to buy 'Mechs when on sale and to complete basic skills + speedtweak (** edit - with MC) than to spend time farming C-Bills and XP on each chassis.
I won't mention who has 84 'Mechs (and each Mastered), but it's a decent way to do it.

I have all 93 mechs (at the time of this writing). About 3/4th of them are mastered and almost all (but a few chassis) are elite. I actually have 94 mechs, but the Jenner-D is duplicated between both my Founders and the Sarah mech.

There are times when its hard to find XX module because you forgot what mech you put it on....or an eng for that matter.

Side-note: keep track of all of your equipment... Engines have been know to disappear from inventory; once a month (if you don't already), strip everything down to take inventory and note lost items.
Does your 'Mechlab take ~2-3 minutes to load up?

On-topic: we are the types of gamers they should be after... Players that spend a few dollars (REAL cash), and invest an amount of time. Other players are quite necessary to, but only until such time that we get the game we really want: contracts, missions, planetary raiding, and all available via PvE, or course. Who does PGI think is funding SC? It's not the 14-25 crowd :)
