BLR-1G
Again, I like the stock thunderbolt. Just needs a few tweaks. Not so sure about the streak SRM, but also not sure what else would fit the tube numbers. I'm certainly not going to use an Artemis SRM2.
TDR-5S
I haven't been able to find one for the shadowhawk that I like yet.
And the Locust doesn't really have enough tonnage to do any of the things I usually like to build my lights for. I prefer my lights with six tons armor, minimum, and preferably seven. So, I'll be unoriginal and run a weaker spider probably. Also likely the only XL engine I'll willingly splurge on, those things are so expensive I have a hard time justifying picking them up, usually.
LCT-1V
The locust with four smalls and a medium laser stock has more potential interest to me, but will still be paper thin.

I am sure the standard variants will be better, for most if not all!
At least one locust is already an open bay slot for me.

Ah, thanks for the heads-up. I wasn't aware.
An XL190 weighs two more tons than an XL170. Revised model, with the two unused tons reserved for the increased engine size.
much more surviva-bility and heat management is superior, use this http://mwo.smurfy-ne...be5ba0a343757ff

Very good survivability since you can't even take it to a match. Mechs must have 10 heat sinks to be valid, that build has only 7.

LCT-1V LRG-Pulse Laser
LCT-1V 4x MG / MedLas
Dakka Shadowhawk:
SHD-2H 3x AC/2 + 2JJ (600 Rounds of ammo)
Depending on the hitboxes of the Thunderbolt i will either go brawler or support:
(I really don´t have a good feeling about the hitboxes )
TDR-5S 2x LRM/15+A / LrgLas / 3x MedLas
TDR-5S 2x SRM/6+A / 3x MedLas / AC/5
Not getting the Battlemaster but this would be my build:
BLR-1G ER-LrgLas / 6x MedLas / 2x AC/5 (210 rounds)
Edit: While it looks like the cooling efficiency of the Battlemaster might look bad keep in might that you don´t want to get close as soon as possible. So the medium lasers will not be used the whole time.

Hilariously fast assault mech (83.9 kph) with a 42-point alpha, but some serious heat issues (even with 24 DHS) and short range. The XL engine also may be an issue if the side torso hitboxes turn out to be big.
BLR-1G
A build with relatively normal speed at 62.9 kph, and a STD engine for more survivability. Decent blend of 2 AC/5 for long-range, low-heat dakka and 6 ML for an occasional "laser pimphand" to smack people with when heat permits. Also has AMS, because reasons.
BLR-1G
Based on the build above, but with the 2 AC/5 swapped for 1 AC/10. This allows for the the addition of Endo Steel, the engine to be upgraded (new speed of 71.3 kph) and more armor to be put on. The downsides are less dakka and 1 less DHS.
------------
Trollhawk
Has a nice speed of 110.2 kph. Comes with an ERLL for poking people at extreme range and farming kill assists. Has 3 MGs and 10 SRMs for close quarters fighting, and 3 JJs to help with that.
Trollhawk II
Downgrades the Trollhawk's engine to 106.9 kph so that it can fit 3 SSRMs and BAP.
SHD-2H
Packs a punch with 3 SRM4, 1 AC/10, and 1 ML. Top speed of 97.2 kph, however, and will probably have "hunch" issues.
SHD-2H
A "zombie" type of build using a STD engine that can still go a good 100.4 kph. Uses 1 ML, 3 SRM4, and 3 MGs added in for additional trolling capabilities. Also has AMS for added survivability.
--------------
The Meta
The most optimal Locust build (that uses a 170 engine), primarily because it can poke people at extreme range where it is safe from enemy fire. Closer-ranged builds will probably drop like flies when any enemy farts in their general direction, whereas The Meta can farm kill assists from a safe distance and induce rage.
XL180 Locust
A Locust build oriented more around being a short-ranged troll. Note that it has 1.5 unused tons because it is assuming that the engine will be upgraded to an XL 180 (Russ said the engine limit will be 190). It features 4 MGs with 2 tons of ammo, 1 ML, and an added AMS in an attempt to give some sort of hope against SSRMs. 10 SHS should be fine to keep it running cool, even on Mordor. This build might actually be able to compete against The Meta if the Locust is sized/hitboxed correctly. Will be able to run at 167.7 kph.
------------
TDR-5S
It's got 2 AC/5, 4 ML, and 2 SRM4. The XL 300 lets it go a pretty good speed of 82.2 kph. The only concern here might be hitboxes, which are likely to feature large side torsos (probably every Phoenix mech will).
TDR-5S
Replaces the 2 AC/5 with an AC/10, and changes the engine to a STD to better deal with the probable hitbox issues. Speed of 78.1 kph, which is still fairly good for a heavy.

SHD-2H (really doesn't need double HS, especially if I drop the Md Laser for another ton of ammo)

Also, AMS ammo doesn't pop. (as far as I can tell) So save the head slot for more important ammo.
