Horrible Ping Pls Help

Havent played in a few months. Just started up again and my ping is horrible. Jumps from 70s to 700+. Other FPS games I play I get 70s and 80s but not MWO...whats the deal? Game is unplayable. I live in California on Comcast

go to processes (ctrl,shift,esc) and give svchost.exe the lowest priority then your ping should drop.
