I think PGI need to e-mail instructions to all players in regards to the new ready button and associated functions. I can't believe how many people don't know what is going on.

The e-mail updates we currently get come out too late to be of any use to anyone who is actively playing this game on a regular basis. Give us the info before you add the content please...

Edit: I'd also like to suggest that you add the ability for players to set the playstyle/ mech configuration (brawler, support etc) within the new ready system. That way anyone trying to reconfigure the lances can actually do some good in matching people up into workable units.

I like the button, because I don't press it until I get a full team, but the button needs to FLASH!

Needs a flash, otherwise I like it. (It lets me know who the boobs are before the match..and it really doesn't take that much longer when someone doesn't press it..)

In my opinion the ready button should be removed from pug. It just does not make sense for me, since I never experienced that the people are planing a sophisticated strategy. The strategy is mostly, if any, "stick together".

The ready button means additional waiting time till the match beginns, because there is alway at least one player which doesn't recognizes pressing it.

Please remove the ready button for pug, or at least make a flashing ready button.

It pointless. Just adds extra time to the loading time.

Pretty sure that the entire point of the button is to allow people the chance to organize a bit before the match.
If anything, it makes more sense to keep it in PUGs, because it's all just random people who should be discussing a bit of tactics before the match begins.

This is probably one of those situations where people need to take the initiative and start talking in the pre-game.
Seems like we're all just sitting around waiting for others to pipe up and set the attack plan.

Yes, thats definitely a good point, but I don't think it works that way.

The people in pugs just want to play and not discussing strategies, where at best a third of the team is participating. In the end the problem will be that just a few people are following "the strategy", which makes it ineffective.

But in the next match I'll try to discuss a strategy and I'll know for certain if it works or not.

Would love to see it gone. Alternately, I'd like to see a setting to allow players to select "always ready".

I think some of you are missing the point. The new ready button is a stepping stone to more organisation control for CW.

If CW is going to work then the lone wolves will have get use to some communication.

I'm all for more communication and teamwork but when you hit the ready button and it doesn't work, you're pretty much screwed. You can pretty much look forward to getting legged by a teammate which does wonders for moral.

I saw the button issue over the weekend. Luckily no-one got trigger happy over it.

OfT- I did see someone TK another player because they were moved to a different lance! Truly unsporting. Why not just ask to be put back (I've done that before)...

Problem is no one knows it's even there and/or can't see it because it's in a bad location. If everyone knew there was a ready button, you would actually get to play faster. It's just a bad UI design that was quickly thrown in.

I refused to hit the ready button the other day, got legged almost every match, got killed by a teammate and ended up killing a teammate.

They might be adding it for people to work out a strategy, why dont we just stick with what we normally do and see which side we start on in a map first then just put down markers like normal or type it in the chat. this ready button is a useless feature... and if it is for an upcoming feature then let them add the damned feature first before adding this useless on its own thing.

they should focus on fixing things or removing things like Ghost heat rather than adding more frustration to the game, I have seriously lost faith in the pgi team... not just over this, this is a sort of the last straw.
