I was recently made aware of a very sly little tactic i was previously oblivious to. While most pilots will build efficient mechs and run cool, this may also 'light them up' so to speak by being colder than the ambient temperature. very simply put, it looks like 'black hot' because they're so cold on the hot map that the map is white as a comstar initiate's robe, but the mech itself shows darker than obsidian. Just a friendly tip from a veteran pilot.

Lol, loving the sly hint for people to run hot on maps, great for you to come along in a light and rip them to bits

Eh? This would only work if you use heat vision, surely?
Have you tried using heat vision on Terra?

Yep,using thermal (heat) vision, used on terra, caustic and tourmaline. Not your goto; but good for hunting. Oh, and with Advanced Zoom, was able to spot and snipe moving Jenner @ 920m. That is past the 750 limit from light amplification (night vision). Oddly enough contrast pops an out.

Must be Jedi skills then... I value my retina's too much to try this.

What state was the discoverer of this in at the time??
Brawling/sniping/targetting an enemy mech, when, "I know! I'll hit thermal 'cos I'm THAT good!"

I actually recently figured the same thing out by accident on Caustic, I only wonder what people spectating were thinking when they saw my blindingly white display not change for over a minute... XD
